ok so i have an 80 toyota pickup with a about a 4-5 inch lift. the problem i am having is my drive shaft is at such an angle now that the yoke is rubbing on the pinion flange and causing me to blow u-joints. my question is what is the best way to fix this, i have been told two ways and that is to 1: cut the spring pearch's and rotate them or 2: get wedges and put them between the springs and axle. :mad:
by the way it is my front drive shaft that im having the problem

It was edited and I'm sure thats why. Keep readin bud:haha: Anyway I wouldnt screw with the caster if its set up right. either drop the truck down to a smaller lift or dual case it to lessen the angle of the driveline. If your not running a huge shackle then I'd say the caster is probably correct

they are 5 leaf waggys in the front with a 2 inch shackle lift. i dont have the bank roll for dual cases.

just get some steel or billet pinion shims (wedges).

A set of 4-6 degree will work fine. Make sure thery have a small hole so you can bolt them to the spring pin, not slipped over it.:beer:

look at what time it was edited:rolleyes: a while before that first post was made bud:flipoff:

throw some :rb: shims in it, or get a HP

yea thats what i was leaning towards, do u think i should tack weld the shims in place so they dont go anywhere?
thanks for the input.:beer::beer::beer:

Have the housing cut and turned. (knuckle balls that is)

If you add shims it will throw off the alignment and cause you to have a two fisted drive on the streat.

Or add a second t-case and your front d-line will be longer and have less angle.

yeah, im not really worried about how it drives on the street. the only time i drive it is to rieter anyway. i live within 20 of reiter and its already a nightmare on the street, no power steering.
