I was talking to a guy at work and he asked if rebuilt/salvage titles were emissions exempt. I was not sure so figured I would ask here and see if anyone has experience with this.

Still gotta deal with the test? That sucks.
So what are the regulations for say a V8 swap into a newer Tacoma like a 99 or so? How would it be run through the test? Or would it just fail?

All the radius monitors need to be active in the obdII system

unless its Diesel 
and under 6200lbs +/-(I would have to look up the exact weight). They are all exempt now.
