Epic Busy Run II feb 23 2013

any change a new guy could follow along... i havent ran the busy before

Got a winch? Self recovery would be a lot easier than getting pulled or getting the guy ahead of you to turn around and winch ya out... Just my observation since getting into this hobby a few months ago.. But almost all the guys on the trail will help you out with anything you need!

Only been to the busy once... And I'm hooked! Can't wait to go back! There are a lot of trails... And it's definitely a good time!

Would this run be possible in a zj on 33's? I've never run the bay before and ill be finishing my lift this weekend

Of course... Don't wanna step on any toes... Still new to wheelin... Is there a 'ethics' or code to go by? Should I not be running the busy on 33's? I could borrow a set of bald 35's from a buddy... But I fear they will not perform as well as what I've got(which isn't necessarily much better)... And/or break my sh!t running 35's(at least that's what everyone tells me)...

I thought 'if you can make it'... go ahead... If you break your sh!t... It's your own fault for being there...

Certainly want to 'meet the minimum' requirements... Lol

I know your new and I'm not trying to be a ass but there's rules and laws with wheeling just like with anything. Were lucky enough to have Nancy in charge of Elbe.:awesomework:

Plenty of other side trails... The busy is just the hardest of them all... Pretty much one way in, one way out... And if you'd prefer not to get any trail rash... I wouldn't recommend it... Lots of tight fitting ruts with roots and trees everywhere! My sammi felt the 'love' from the trail in a few spots...

Anthony... I totally get that... And didn't think you were bein an a$$... Just sending out a friendly warning to those that have rigs that may not be as capable. Think I should look into borrowing my buddies bald 35's to help 'be in compliance'? I guess I could bring along all my spare axles just in case... Lol

Your not being an ass haha, I'd rather know beforehand that my rigs not capable then breaking everything or clogging the trail for others, I appreciate the info

We can send all the open diffed 33 innch tires guys out with you later in the day. YOU can be the 33 inch tire leader.

Just cuz ya can, dont mean you should let others know. Your rig is a typical Busy rig. Its beat, runs well, has traction, winch, damage friendly etc. It just happens to have 33s, which on a sami are like 36s on a yota.

When you went, Jacobs rig was pushing its luck. Its nice, small, lite duty. Not the combo.

+2 for NO shakedown runs on the busy.

The title SAYS EPIC if your rig aint EPIC, please stay on the play skool trails that day. Thanx

It wouldnt be the first cherokar thats been broke, parted out and left on the busy for months.

Haha, I just bought this one and a lift and tires I'd like to keep it for a while :)

Ill just have to go AFTER I get lockers a winch and dump my 249 t case :)

I know we ran it in my dads jeep is open and on 32's but it's a lil old cj5 and it was probably 5+ years ago

I am humbled... And will show better discretion next time...

Sorry guys... I just get soo excited sometimes! ;-)

Love this 'new to me' hobby... And definitely don't wanna sh!t where I eat!

Hmmm I wonder if i could find some 33's to run on for this just cause it would be funny as hell, and im sure my axles would be dragging everywhere! hahahaha

It all depends on the conditions. we've had some crazy times (mostly before they logged it) And sometimes you fly right through it.

X a billion, not a good trail for shake down runs, one way in one way out.
I think the alder and the gotcha are great shake down trails, still challenging if you want, yet it has a bunch of exits.

time for some pics

it's not necessary tire size but ground clearance :awesomework:

And Sammie axles are small

The busy dry though is a glorified logging road...... more traction than challenge.

i will have to put some 33s on the portals one day to see if it could doit with out the winch... wait i dont have a winch..:eeek:

I run shaved 60's F/R so 33's would be a winch fest LOL

Slap a hydraulic one on that pig run off the PTO :awesomework:
