33" tires (gonna be switched to 35") and 105" WB

French trails are way less wide and spread out as they are here. Full width buggies have awful times fitting and turning. Compact is where it's at for us ;)

I did my best.

After a long way back home, the beast is resting in its new nest and the build crew is off for some well deserved sleep :

Note the other Mercedes V8 in the top left corner, awaiting its turn. It's gonna be put into a winch challenge Nissan Patrol that Matt is building.

They come from some 450/500 SL/SEL Mercs in the late 70's

So 4.5 or 5.0L aluminum engine, mechanical injection (simple and reliable) and make around 250hp and 300ft/lbs.

That's no LS, but we get there pretty cheap (like 500 bucks for the whole car) and they're light, indestructible and make decent power...

We also use the Magnum 5,2L a lot as we got a bunch of V8 ZJ's here

That awesome, I'd like see a video so I could hear that Merc V8 :****:

Also, I'm surprised nobody else has said it but I'd like to see a pic of Epona when she's doing something other than working in the shop or driving the crawler.

Touareg. Pretty common over there.

We're not allowed to tow more than 7500lbs (and that's with a special license) so no need for a big ole pick up.

Our normal tow rigs are Land Rover, Toyota Land Cruiser, Ford Ranger, etc... All mid-size SUV basically. The Full Size category doesn't exist in Europe, except for some pricy personal imports.

I used to tow my samurai with a Subaru Forester molaugh

same suv my wife drives daily. Love it no complaints. healthy v8 helps also :****:

The regular one we got in France has an inline 5 diesel.
No V8 for us with gas prices around 8$/gal (all time low, it used to be around 10 to 11$/gal)

Holy fawk!! It's $1.44 a gallon here. Hers is the 4.2 liter v8. 355 hp and all wheel drive. They offer a v10 diesel here but it is 80-100k price tag. Nope. I love her car but it can get expensive to work on :****: Holds 10 quarts full synthetic oil and a 30 dollar filter. And getting wiring for the trailer light plug is like 400 bucks at the dealer. Still gotta do that not paying them tho

Funny what happens when oil is traded in only the US dollar?

The rig turned out sweet man. Those WOD lines really make that rig
