evans creek 8/5/07

apparently, thats not the point. the point is that you dont have to have a pass to wheel at evans creek, but if you dont have one, you will get ticketed.:eeek:

EXACTLY! Nowhere does it say we need a pass to wheel in any of their documentation. Evan's is piled in with all the hiking trails and camping/picnic stops where you have needed a pass for years. People do these activities at Evan's as well as wheeling. But we don't need a pass to drive to the other type areas if we're not staying, why should we need one to wheel through evans?

Besides, the most of the money stays in the area claim is true. But, how much do WE see? Pretty much none of it. The money goes to repairing the main roads, fixing picnic tables, cleaning up garbage, signage, etc. Not to 4x4 trail building and repairs, only hiking trails.

well a group of us will be up in that area on Sunday... going tochill at a lake for a bit. Maybe we might head up to evans and check it out and see if we can catch anyone.

are any of you gonna be on the cb?? if so what channel will you be running??

if we come up we will hollar at ya and see if we can meet up at the least...

Ok, enough on what the forest pass covers and does not cover. We obviously have differing opinions and I agree even enforcement has not been consistent. Suffice it to say if you don't have it, you run the risk of getting a ticket. The choice is yours, now back on topic.
