Evans Creek & General ORV meeting with the Forest Service November 18th, Tuesday, 7:00-9:00. At the DNR building in Enumclaw, the one on the corner that looks like a log cabin. This would be a good place to share your concerns.
So if your not street legal you have to tow it up to the day use parking lot?? Then you cant run the lower 311.
Technically, the day use parking lot isn't any better, because there aren't any "legally" accessable trails from there. So basically, we're fawked if we trailer them up too, though like Pokey was saying, the FS guys are cool, as long as you're not doing something stupid.
Has anybody gotten ticketed inside the park? Meaning not on mowich road, but from the entry and above?
Everybodys got a boss.
I wouldn't engage officer Dan, be sweet and respectfull. You can't argue the law, but you can argue Dans judgement with his boss though. I would find out who his boss is. I would also find out who his bosses boss is. Up a couple levels in a small town you are probably at the Sherrif level which is an elected position.
If Dans out of line, of if he's stirring up too much **** and people bitch about it, he'll become a PITA to his boss: no boss wants a PITA employee.
If you talk to the right person, Dan will get an assfull from his boss behind closed doors. :awesomework:
You are 100% correct.
Unfortunatly, it's easier to bitch and whine about it than actaully do something that could help remedy the problem.
How many people complaining on here have actaully written letters to document their concerns with the guy's boss? If you're not willing to help fix the problem, why cry about it?
So who has easy access to the contact info for officer Dan's boss? I haven't had the pleasure of meeting this guy, so I have nothing to write about. Just thinking that it might make it easier for other folks to get their first hand experiences in front of the right set of eyes.:awesomework: :awesomework: :awesomework:

I completely agree...we can probably assume he works out of the Foothills Detachment. It would be good to have the info for his direct reporting structure, such as what station he was based out of, and who his capt. is.
So I was up at Evan's yesterday and ran into the Federali's. All they were concerned about was the FS pass.. We had about 5-6 people in our group and 2 didn't have passes. So they had to run back down the mountain and get one.
But overall the they were very pleasant and didn't really hassle us. Didn't check bumper hieghts or none of that crap. Also that was the only time we saw them...
