Re: How many Doll Hairs?

Stoney lonesome def has the parking, facilities, and infrastructure for big events. Nice easy manicured main trail system through the park and some nasty climbs. They really are perfect for this new type of srrs. Hook dirt hills mixed with rocks and a few ledges. Lots of nice rocks just underneath the surface. The top of who's ur daddy is starting to look a lot like cable.

This is not the worst hill in the park by any means, just the most used.

Re:

That first ledge he got caught up on is now 4 feet taller with a second ledge above it. You are right, not the worst hill, but an ever evolving steeper Cable Hill.

As I see it, throw a rope out to one of the many series events coordinators. They are always looking for new parks to try out. :dblthumb:

Pick a Date. Sept or October

October is booked up as far as events go. There is an open date in September......the last weekend I believe. November has some open dates too, but I bet they will fill up too.

Re: How many Doll Hairs?

Ok. I gotta know. WTf do they book up with? I'm curious about the events U speak of. Don't even say "arts and crafts show". I'm a sucker for a good time hangin with the seniors, raisin hell!! I love old people. :****: but really, one of my dreams is to have a boiled peanut stand, chillin all day, sellin nuts. But not the nasty green p nuts like on the way to Fla.. The good ones .. But I believe at the arts and crafts show it would be a really good idea to have another big seller, and that would be .. the rubber band gun! :woot: keep me posted.

Check the calendar crazy man. All the weekends already have an event planned.

Re: How many Doll Hairs?

Who's ur daddy really needs the back access trail opened up and manicured to keep from having a spectator bottleneck if that is the event area.

Re: How many Doll Hairs?

whos your daddy is a lot worse now than in the video. Theres not enough room at the bottom for spectator and competitors. They will have to do some work there. GUt buster is a cool hill but we did it in a rzr xp1000 last weekend. not much for a bouncer

I think we will need one full day at whatever hill(s) we decide on. Safety first, spectators second, access is a close third and all will be addressed.

I think YouTube is the most spectator friendly with ease of access. Parking is the biggest issue there. Who's your Daddy will need some thinning for spectators and some work at the top.

I would like to see Timbukone continued to Hello Kitty. Parking here would be an issue as well but there is a lot of room for spectators and it would be fun to see someone hit both of those two at speed.

What about Vendetta? Has it been climbed yet? It is there with the others that have all the spectator room you could want.

Rail buggy went up it fairly recent, but not over the ledge. I don't know if anyone can make that ledge without going over. Not stirring the pot, just being realistic. The last two guys that gave it a go, landed on their lids. It's a bad ledge on a super steep hill.

10-4 I was curious after JJs multiple endo back down after hitting that ledge hard when we were there. There are only a few guys/rigs that have anything for it. Not sure if it can be climbed or not.

Vendetta has yet to be climbed. Who's your Daddy has been attempted by several buggies over the past weeks....but all were denied, without carnage.

sounds like I need to make another trip out to the park.

I say Who's Your Daddy and another hill in that same area (there are a few that havent been climbed I think)

Vendetta = Bounty Hill.

BOOM there is your recipe for a successful event. Now you just need to get people there.

Still waiting on the right people to get in contact with to get it done. I know I can get a videographer that works for cheap :dblthumb: , Tyler, Bobby and the STL crew and I can move dirt and sticks, then its just the problem of getting enough buggies there to put on a show. I was still hoping for people to start from the very bottom if we do Who's Your Daddy and make them do the small jump before hitting the hill. It would give them plenty of momentum to get to the hill without digging out the start of the hill. It would also put the next buggy inline further back in the woods, protected in case of a rollover.

I hit it dumb. In hindsight I don't think I have the power to get up it. I won't hit it again, I'll tell you that much! :)

But if it hasn't been climbed yet its only because TC or Bobby hasn't tried. Not trying to be mean but that hill is tame compared to Cable, Showtime, and many of the others they have been getting up. You have to have the power to get your front end up and over while still having enough on tap afterwards to get the rear up. I knew I didn't have the power to get the rear up after so I just nailed it hoping momentum would carry me through. As demonstrated, that is not the correct approach. :)

I bet pretty much any of the SRRS regulars could make it. It would still be a great show though.

Let's get a date locked in I'm ready to know when I get to visit this park again !!!!!

I talked with Tyler tonight and he is trying to nail something down. Tomorrow he is going to let me know something a little more certain.

Gone are the days, if there ever was a day, that a park can call out a "Hill Kill" event. I'm sure there have been some semi-successful ones, but I don't know of one. What you're seeing as successful is SERIES. A little equals a lot.
I hate to see Stony go down this road and fail and be judged for it.
Here's what I witnessed at GAP. It started great, then he kept building obstacles to try to get "The Big Boys" there... ignoring the "little boys" that were there every time the gate was open. The little boys needed more. But the obstacles kept getting bigger. And NO ONE ever tried them.
Work on the easier trails. The successful parks have people coming through the gates every week that have no clue who Madram11 or BustedKnuckleFilms is... I had dinner with an offroader tonight who never heard of'em. But he's been to Stony a couple of times.

For the record, the last HL ride, I went on hard trails I've NEVER seen there. I'm excited to get back over to that section on a dry day! The park needs more spots like that!
