F350 D O A

It was probably a 6.no. I had an 05'. Here is what i blew up...in order

-head gaskets
-warped heads
-turbo
-rear ring and pinion
-head gasket (with ARP Studs)
-rear ring and pinion (faulty setup from ford)
-EGR junk before i blocked it off

my 99 7.3 did the same thing it was injector o rings and 3 injectors craped out so it was dumping a shitload of raw fuel into the cylinders and was unable to combust because of the valume of fuel so when the raw fuel hit the hot exhaust it just kinda turned to steam causing the white smoke and my old 6.0 powerstroke work truck did a similar thing but never found out what it was but the dealership had 9 other 6.0s in there with the same damn problem i will give ford credit they atleast have the balls to circle their problem

If you have a blown intake gasket that wil lcause both codes. The ecm sees the boost is off so it throws a baro code thinking the sensor is screwed up, and with the turbo spooling up and not making boost it is probably blowing it out of the intake gasket. Your EGR code is due to this too as exhaust recircuates thru the intake. I had the same problems with a 6.5 not long ago.
i have had egr codes awile
how hard is a intake gasket to change?

Didn't you have that truck double or tripled chipped

That is exactly the point. Most of the failures involve being chipped. :gtfo:
I could argue the hell out of this but I'm feeling it would be pointless. I have a friend that is over the garage of a large ford dealership here and has had alot of the same issues out of old retirees trucks and such. I'm not saying chipping a 6.0 doesn't cause problems, just that they don't need a chip to fail. ;) In fact, I have a close friend on this board that was puking coolant out of his bone STOCK 6.0 last time we went wheeling....

Did not say a bone stock would not have a problem, but almost every truck I have seen with a chip has had a failure. Doing it you can almost guarantee a problem.

i was being sarcastic, but yes the head studs were put under more pressure with the chip.

My brother has a 04' 6.0 that he drives like a grandma' that has blown head gaskets. What pissed me off more than anything at ford was the techs would argue with me every single time that the head "bolts" that ford uses are much stronger than ARP's. At one point i looked over at the line of work trucks waiting to have the head gaskets replaced and said "ford must really suck at what they do". He didnt find that very funny.

This is sad though. Dodge and Chevy can build a diesel to hold up to alot more than is thrown at it stock. I sure as hell miss my old ford with leather, sun roof, and ballin ass electric rear window, but my dodge has taken a beating now. God the ford was nice though.

I hear ya bro, I love my Ford but I wish I could put a programmer on it but I just know if I do what will happen. Knock on wood I have had good luck with mine. 2006 with 107,000 miles so far. And I have pulled with it quite a bit going to races between here and Cali and PA, and all of the XRRA races we went to. It sucks to pay that much for a truck that you are always nervous about. I am about to the point of looking around for a clean Duramax or Dodge (cringe as I type that).
