bucked the whole inside of the floor out to make room for the 203/205 and cross members...
doing whatever it takes to try and keep the belly flat under the frame

cleaned up all the old crap off the frame rails and plated them with some new 1/4'' so i dont have to worry about the cases falling out...

because the 205 is going to be directly under my seat it was hard to get it up high enough to be above the bottem of the frame rails but low enough to be even able to mount a seat back in the truck... so i hacked off 3'' of the case to help with that..

Cause theres no front end under the truck it sitts on jack stands.... truck had 42s on it and i was switching some 33s on it so it fit in the garage a little better.... while using a high lift jack to switch tires and relevel the truck...it fell over and the jack stand hit the oil pan bunced off that then hit the starter and completely ripped it off then went between the frame and the block and was wedge and stuck there....:mad:

Got some more done lately!!!

did this for something a little differnt and to keep it awayfrom the starter, oil filter, and the links

and because the exaust was going to be right next to the old round normal air cleaner and made this thing to pick up the air a little ways away from the exaust, pulled the K&N out of my diesel and used that filter and baught a new one for the diesel

Interesting design. I'd be worried about vapor lock.

did heating and air conditioning for 7 years... so i have a pretty good idea about air flow... and yes i thought about it and hopefully that little turning vain inside the elbo will get rid of that.... air isnt to picky but small things like that can make a pretty big differance....

as to the vapor lock, i would imagine that he is talking about the close proximity of the exhaust to the carb and intake.

Got the duel case adaptor ordered and went with a steel one from jeds machining cause it could be made to what ever i wanted and have heard of many issues with the aulm. ones..... he also has good pricing compared to many places....

www.jedsmachining.com

link material also showed up.... so once i get the cases where they need to be ill be able to get alot done and figured out....

ya thats why i got it, two friends have them, and they work good and i had used them many times..... was an easy choice

two stock d60 outers and a twisted toyota front inner not good for much but shifters

will the detents in the case hold the weight of the shifter handle while driving :eeek: all that weight puts a lot of leverage on things while wheeling. A long heavy tc shifter is what caused my rollover in 07 by popping the tc out of gear on a long hill climb:booo: Build is looking god :awesomework:

Strange but I agree with pokey.

A heavy shifter will hate your driving style.

Good knowledge and experience here that a lot of us would never think of. I thought the shaft ends were one of the coolest set of shifter handles I had ever seen until reading these.
