fake financing cars

Hilarious, your my brother from another mother.

The car business is the only career I have been in. Unfortunately in the last decade, smoking deals have become fewer and far between. PRE owned prices have sky rocketed so there is a lot more junk on the lots being retailed for full and above market values. In my opinion it's tough to find a really good deal sitting on the lot ready to go.

I always find them on the back lot before they ever make it through the shop. These days though, customers arent allowed to do that anymore. No way around it you're gonna pay the shop fees, the pack they build into every deal and then it gets detailed, then a customer is able to buy. By that time, a fair amount of expense has been absorbed into the vehicle. The deals are just real hard to find.

Right now, PRE owned tahoes are selling for some decent prices. Mainly because of the push for fuel economy. Even though gas prices have dropped a ton, we all know it ain't gonna last. So it really isn't driving the sales of large SUVs through the roof so on my lots, the deals aren't too bad.

You just gotta play the game these days and educate yourself in knowing that salesmen and managers make money off of you financing. So you gotta play the game from that angle. Finance for the better deal, then pay off immediately to be debt free. Otherwise, you'll always fight a dealership. Everybody is trying to make a living so just play the game.

I think you summed up society "today". I'm 39 and it took me until my 30's to realize the game. And I STILL am fighting it. LOL. Driving a 23 year old vehicle, living in a 15 year old RV.

But yeah, buy EVERYTHING new enough to have a warranty, have it FIXED with that warranty, and have insurance decent enough to have it replaced if broken beyond warranty. Sell it once it falls out of that category. Period.
It's crazy to me, that in my lifetime, the days of "buy with cash, fix with cash" are gone. It used to be only your health that you needed full coverage insurance on... now it's everything.

You said new to you, so that means used. Buy from a person trying to sell on cars.com or autotrader

This. A lot of times it's cheaper. No BS about financing and no BS extra doc fees.

I will if I find something worth buying. Not a lot of private options though. Don't know why.

I can answer that too. Cause folks who have something over $15k to sell almost have NO choice but to trade in. It's a viscous cycle that fortunately I got out of last year when I found a buyer for my Tundra. But it was for sale over a year, and even sat behind the gate at GRCThird's shop for a lot of that time just sitting. I think this is why you should seek out these people. You being the buyer of a nicer vehicle, with cash... can pick up a DEAL from a private individual. I literally sold my '08 Tundra for what I still had in it at the bank.

Y'all must be doing something better than me! Holy **** at all the people saying I wanna just walk in and buy a new ______! I can understand Johng and Bj because I know them more personally, but are there that many people that can stroke a check for a 40-75k vehicle? Much less cash?
I'm with you brotha :(

What are you talking about? I'm seeing all this stuff on FB with you and a new truck, tajma-trailer, tajma-shop, etc. If I had to guess I would say you won the lotto?

Just giving you a hard time. Its none of my business. Don't worry. :)

****, I wish you would win the lotto though!

We have known each other for a very very long time so I feel it is your business per say. :****:

I don't like to finance either but I just got the old lady a new ford edge 2 weeks ago with 0% financing through ford. No sense in dropping a chunk of change on a vehicle if there isn't any finance charges. Use their money!

No one that I am aware of is offering 0% on used. I hate payments, too. Besides utilities, I have one payment - my house - and I would like to eliminate that ASAP.

1.75% is the lowest I've been able to get! But that's pretty low! Gotta have that good credit to get it! Which you may not have since you pay cash for everything! :woot: :fish:

I suspect I can get at least as good a rate as you if I wanted then. I just don't want payments and try to live a very modest lifestyle. (Not saying you don't.)

Oh yea I'm sure your mortgage is the majority of that and age without late payments! Congrats over 800 ain't easy to get! I'm 30 with no mortgage! I do have a lot Of payments though! Land 5.5%, tractor 0%, car 1.75%, and equipment trailer 1.75% :dunno:

I'm almost 36 now. My only payment is my house at 2.55% and $510/mo. I pay more than that for health insurance. I've used my credit in the past. I've had car loans, credits cards, etc. Never been late or missed a payment. I also currently have a rewards card that I do all my spending on and pay off monthly.
