Weekend update: installed f-body engine oil dipstick, mounted tranny dipstick, got a battery and started playing with engine and Kia harnesses. I want everything to work with stock ignition and key. Heater lines ran, fuel lines made, well attempted to, one end leaked. Also got an air intake to fit somewhere.

I bit enough stuff hooked up to try and start engine but have a fuel hose leak and the starter that came with engine was siezed up.

Nothing to exciting right now. New starter works great. Found my fuel leak. I must have over tightened the first time and cracked fitting. Other than that playing with wiring, mixing and matching 2 harnesses. Trying to trick Kia computer to get stuff working when there is no signals coming from old Kia engine. Stuff like fans and fuel. If I can't figure it out I'll just start from scratch and put stuff on switches if needed

I would think it would be easiest to run the fuel pump through the 5.3 PCM. Maybe the fan too?

Been working on getting radiator line plumbing done and running and flushing engine. Been sitting for at least 3 years. Thermostat was also broke. Added Kia temp sensor in coolant line so stock guage works on dash. Still having trouble getting fans to work. Also ordered an air intake kit for a Silverado. Surprisingly​ after flipping, trimming, and bending a few things I got it to fit pretty good.

If that's a Spectre air filter also, keep an eye on it. They are cheap Chinese garbage.

It is. It is actually alittle to big and the airaid one i have on my crawler fits better so I might get be of those instead

Getting closer to driving. Got driveline in, headers connected to one pipe and it's getting the rest ran today at a shop

Got the exhaust finished, it's 2 1/2 inch off the headers to where they meet and then 3in from their back through a Flowmaster 44. Sounds pretty good pretty loud.
Now that it is drivable the engine runs good but when I stop driving and sit in Gear engine idles rough. Also found that the th350 transmission does not have 3rd gear, and also shifts into second when I manually put it into first and kicks back down into first when the kickdown is not hooked up.... So I got some more things to figure out not knowing any history on engine and transmission
