We (Timber Tamers) hauled two projection TV's from the main road. Along with cleaning up a bunch of garbage along the main road.
Great turnout. :awesomework:
no,it was turning the switch on for the front lockerYou're one elusive SOB, I see your rig pull up, and came down the hill to finally introduce myself---POOF! Can't find ya...Oh well, next time!
Heard the guys that were there in the end ran the loop a few times and were having fun...Sounds like Phil had a lil issue...Something about a hub...:stirpot:

Nice pictures Phil!!
I was the very last rig who got to go through the old trail and down the sweet drop off into the now non exsistant mud hole Muhahaha
I was pretty bummed they got rid of the line at the end of the trail with the cool drop off, i didnt realize that was part of the plan i thought we were just making a bypass for it for folks who didnt want to try it
You really thought they'd let that fly? C'mon sam, you should know better than that...:fawkdancesmiley:
They said it was a liability issue... Super easy flop spot... And with the way people are suing these days... They decided to take it out...
I'm not entirely 'in the know' about this topic... But they also hinted at the fact that this was the last work party, where they could alter trails, without involving a 'engineer' at $30k per pop... To design and place SPECIFIC rocks at specific spots.. The intention... So I heard, is to end up with a situation like Reiter is planning with designated runs and directions... No more 'free for all'...
The way I've always seen it... If you're performing any type of extreme sport, and injure/kill yourself, that's the price you pay for seeking adrenaline rushes... And you or your family can't sue for you using their land/product...
Apparently... The lawyers don't view it that way... They sue the dnr cause someone died while wheeling dnr land... And i really love how lawyers help people win frivolous lawsuits like spilling coffee on themselves cause they didn't know it'd be hot!
I say just post 'no liability' signs along with 'enter at your own risk'... There's no way they could police everyone going up there with waivers to sign... Hell, when we were there and closed off the trail to work on it, there were guys running a 'quad trail'... The dnr guy wasn't too happy and said he'd start handing out tickets... He headed up the trail looking for them... Not sure if he caught them or not.
The work party was a huge success, lots of willing/capable hands up there to help... Dnr was not expecting such a turnout! All in all, I think it was a good showing of what wheelers are willing to do to help out in any way we can...
Why wouldnt they, when there is a much easier way to go around I dont see why something like that cant be left for us who like that kind of stuff Kinda like Ron's run there is a harder line in a few places and the easy line the whole way same thing :awesomework:
actually totally different....Ron's hard and easy lines were designed/ put in...
Now if you'll remember back a few yrs, the spot where it's now closed did not go straight across the road originally, but rather sidehilled from the left into the trail, and was rather technical, but some yayhoo decided to plow straight up the side, which it then stayed that way up until this yr, when it evolved into the line from the mudhole, which was originally those holes were blocked from use several times before the last line formed...but again, all the blockages get yanked out that were clearly put in to deter people from using the mud pits...
This is true! :haha: And that blocking thing is also likely true--I did not see what they used at the end of the day...Not a mud pit anymore! Its a big empty hole :redneck:
I still believe it could have been left but oh well it is what it is now. There choice of items to block it with though I doubt will stick around I told them they needed to use something bigger but it appears they didnt
