I'm stealing this idea on my next set of tires.

I've actually thought about going with 3 blade sizes... Start with a #6, then #4, then #2... Each one going a little deeper... This could make an even better tire out of the SXs...

I've got the 1/2" and the 1/4", but I think that 1/2" may be a bit big for 36's...

I think the #6 is 3/8ths... #4 1/4 and #2 1/8...

1/2" is pretty wide, but the #6 works nice on 36" tires... The pic of the tires in the back of the Blazer was a #6 on 36s... The other tires are 38.5 SXs...

I do know that the 1/2" works excellent for cutting the wear-bars out from between the tread-blocks.

I dont cut my swampers up with cool patterns.

I just run the groover down the edges of my old rounded off luges to get a "sharp" edge back on them.

When I have a slicky I just cut old channles down to the cords.

My groover's on a UPS truck somewhere, once it's here I'm going to **** around with some worn out BFG's I've got. I can tell you siping straight across the center lugs helps a **** load in the snow/ice.

I think my Jeep is too heavy for 12.50's but my steering is up for them...these tires were pretty smoked but look a lot better now and will work on rocks
