The Toyota fifth stud is an effective easy mod to do. How did you do yours? Straight threw hole with nut on inside? Welded nut or not? No nut and tap the knuckle. What way worked for you?:eeek::corn:

Straight through with the nut welded on the inside. Now get that thing fixed and over here so we can go wheel!

My weld didnt seem that great, so I also just put lock nuts on as well.

What size nut and bolt?

I think they all use 1/2" bolts.
I did bend some 3/8" thick brackets for the fifth stud setup, but havent had an axle to verify fitment.

Ive done it with a welded nut and with the nut on the outside too.

Remember to center the knuckle and set the trunnion preload before doing the fifth stud. Then any futer adjustments will come out of the bottom cap.

As Brad said make sure you set the trunion preload before you do anything.
