If the race "promoters/ organizations" want to make their series most profitable, it would make sense to squash what ever butt hurt exist's and do their best to work together on race weekends. Plain and simple.
For a racer, at this point in the year, you are either: A) chasing a points championship in a series B) big money payout events or C) you just want to race, so you'll probably go to which ever event is close to home. I'm sure there are some racers that are loyal to a particular series or have committed to the series.
