Final Exam

Here is my final exam I will be giving today. It was alot harder, but after reviewing and talking with the students yesterday I had to revised. They reminded me that for 9 weeks we didn't do anyhting but move shop. Answers are at the end. :dunno:

So far everyone but 2 have passed and the 2 that failed have missed about 30 days this semester.

i missed 6....ouch...lots of good questions on there tho....

oh, and i know that i guessed lucky on about 5 others too....

damn wyatt, I was a welder for 1.5 yrs too (all wire, welding beams and columns) and I got in the 80's. that's all I'll say, I scored in teh B range :-\ :-\

I failed. I know everyone has printed and taken this test but they are just not posting up they failed. :flipoff1:

I failed, I have never welded and have never used a Torch. I was always told I would burn the shop down.
However I can Operate a Grinder.

Yes I am.

You will learn how to weld before you love to use a grinder. Wright that down. Because I said so.

sounds right. I actually like using a 9" with a brand new wheel on it. doesn't bother me a bit, could grind for hours. I learned to weld first though :flipoff1:

Seriously, I got an 82.5%. missed 7 fuggin questions. We had a pretty good welding teach in HS that was crazy on all the safety stuff, and then when I was a welder/fitter I learned a lot reading prints. other than that, I didn't have ANY idea an oxyfuel torch was that hot. I use propane here, maybe that's where my guess of HALF enough came from laughing1
