Finally....Da new rig..

You musta missed the pics above mike :redneck:

And mine will be done before yours :haha:

And a few ideas for something on the floor as the foot area... more to come

Some may recall a signature I have used many times over the years and just felt the need to finally do it on my own rig. This time though I got a little more fancy with the mount.

And there is the new coolant res tank :redneck: I could have gone with something fancy but I just had to do this.

And got it hooked up to the radiator with a draw straw inside like a stock toyota res tank.

So I ordered a bunch of hose parts (summit brand silicone hoses) and went ahead and built the lower rad hose and the fit is very tight but I was happy with the outcome. I could have used a 45 degree hose at the radiator and only used 2 pieces of hose but I wanted some clearance at the upper link tower and using the metal 45 degree tube gave me that. On the final setup I should be able to gain another 1/4" of clearance. But that was the last part on the rig that needed to be done around the clearance of full compression.

Next was the upper hose. The vortec's use a goofy upper neck thats not only bent oddly its also 1 1/4" and the neck on the rad is 1.5". So my fix was to make a new upper neck thats 1.5".

I was able to do it with a 45 and 90 degree hose and I was happy with how well it all fit.

I like the mount for the coolant tank. I'm running a 1 liter smart water myself, mountain dew would probably be overkill for my ol leaf sprung toyota

Well ****, must have not payed attention. And , well:fawkdancesmiley:.

Next to tackle was the air system. Since I could not make the york compressor fit I had to go with an electric pump. So the only place to put the air stuff is behind the seats. To mount it on the rear wall I had to add some strength for it.

Behind the driver seat is where I put the air tank. It had come off my toyota but I had to rework the fitting locations and mounts. I also ran the hose thru the back wall and to a location for ease of use and away from tire splatter.

Next it was time to mount the hood. I won't deny it was a lil nerve racking to buzz the holes in the hood.... But it needed to be mounted for the next big part I need to figure out. I was also able to finish up the holes around the shocks.

I finally got my PSC column so it was time to modify the mount and get it tacked into place. Length is damn near spot on...
