Fireball AKA Hammer Time is getting a makeover by WOD

Gotta be tough to let someone else do what you say and have it come out like if you were doing them yourself. Finding someone you know, trust and can let them do work and not have to babysit has to be next to impossible if you prefer to be in control.

Good luck

Ricky is on the WOD team. He does all of the photography for Adam's business. I hardly see how him doing his job is swinging off of Woodee's nuts.

You guys ae the most jealous bunch I have ever seen ::)

It was a joke---I was givin' Ricky a hard time... Lighten up old man! :flipoff1:

Pull your panties out... we dont cut slack on ANYONE...

Adam you have a great problem to deal with, more business than you can handle and a waiting list. If you keep up the quality of work that you are doing you will never be wondering where your next project will come from. When people spend the kind of money they do with you they are willing to wait for the finished product because they know it is worth it. I would hold off on hiring any one as long as I could. I have seen plenty of business' that grew too big too fast and the quality of the work was sacrificed. Always know that no one is going to take care of your business and customers like you will. Keep on doing what you do and you will have them lined up waiting to get on the list. thumb.gif

I find it comical that Woodlee would ask the guys on Hardline Crawlers for 'suggestions' molaugh

Here is the deal with Coles old Jeep. Donny bought it to ride until I have his other buggy done. He took his wife to June Jam and she loved it. She had fun and wanted a rig of her own. He tells me Saturday that she wants a 4 seater buggy when can you get to it. I said you know thats out for a while. So he said OK we'll come up with some thing. Then he shows up Sunday with a trailer and says take the jeep and back half the jeep to fit 4 seats. Instead of back halfing the cage i am starting over with the cage because it will be better and easier to do.

Now I have two parts to my shop. I have in and out work and I have full builds. I keep two full builds going all the time and I try to keep one in and out job all the time. This jeep fills up the in and out bay. My in and out bay may not be like others in and out bays. Lances was the last one and I think it was there for about two months or so.

With business growing it is hard to keep up with the demand. I do have a waiting list. Every one on the list knows where they are and the choose to stay on there which I am very grateful for. If any one has suggestions to how i should do things to make them go more smoothly I am all ears. I am looking at building a bigger shop and adding more employees. Employees bring a who new set of problems to the table. I am going to be the one who designs and builds every vehicle that leaves here. It is hard to keep pushing ground in the sport when you don't have time to just sit back and think. Totally custom vehicles do not come easy or fast.

suggestions please...........

Your doing it right, if everyone knows were they are thats all that matters... dont let interweb banter rile you up cause its all nonesense.

Most people have no idea what In and out work is and they dont understand prioritizing your work load to suit your needs... so let em hate were they wanna hate and in the end you will get it knocked out or not. Let your work do the talking is what im saying thumb.gif

There's alot of instant gratification boys in wheeling... they dont realize that custom work takes alot of time no matter how you slice it. Even more so when your looked at as closely for detail perfection work like you've chosen to pursue. Why you think Dan Dubose hasnt done a one off rig in so long , **** takes to much time and theres easy money in his mail order business.

Do what you do man... thats all. Everyone knows you got a waiting list, everyone doesnt realize you gotta pay the bills with in and out money at the same time. Business is business. All shops operate in this manner. thumb.gif

I find it flattering that someone as talented and well represented as he is keeps the general wheeling public in consideration.

I find it comical that you swing off your prefered vendors nutz then hate on others prefered vendors :flipoff1:

Very well put Big "puddin pushin" silly

Yeah Adam you are in a Catch 22 cause more employees would help, but people want you to build their rig, not an employee. You would have to hire a whole shop full of yous, and I don't see that happening.

Adam, you should probably hire the Rock Midget as a full time consultant as he is all knowing in the ways of everything 4x4 related, just ask him he will tell you. ::) Plus he has wasted more money having 4x4's built than most of us have made :flipoff1: :flipoff1:

I am open to suggestions from any one.

Midget you know me I am open to learning as much as I can how ever and from who ever I can.

5K in and out labeling fee will apply.

( Adam, Ill need a percentage of said check for developing this fee... k thanks )

i dont bash vendors unless they pile a cock in my ass and no one has done that since Redline in 2001, therefore if you can cite where I have bashed a vendor in this thread I would glady retract it.

Whatever, this proves you don't know what the HELL you are talking about.

Sure I do. Let me clarify. Let's say that Adam wants 20k to build you a buggy, Well what if you give him 30k I'm sure he'll do something (unless I am totally way out in left field on this one). If someone came to me with 300 $100.00 bills that would get my wheels spinning! That is what I was talking about. I already know your situation and we have already talked about this!
