• Help Support Hardline Crawlers :

For us SX guys

Doesnt really matter as the Maxxis stickies are King anyways. Just figuired I would let you noobies know.:fawkdancesmiley::D

No ya don't.

The Interco soft compound isn't near as good as the BFG.The Interco rubber acts ALOT like the Micky Thompson soft compound(designed for man made/Gunite courses) which worked REALLY well in the ultra dry of Phoenix,Moab and August around here but SUCKED BALLS in the slop,the type of conditions we have 8+ months outa the year.Having run a similar tire to the Interco compound and then having switched over to the BFG,I can tell you the difference is night and day.Go wheel with Boxboy before you buy a set of Interco stickies,NOT that there is a 43" stickie to buy.....just sayin.

BFG ALL the way

Well lets see if some hd17's will fit on my rig and i'll huck my reds on.

Why?

They still won't work as well as a red label...

You missed the sarcasm is was lending to Joe. :fawkdancesmiley:

how do them red labels do at Elbe?:corn:

Deep mud - I don't like and avoid deep mud/water holes. And specifically, I don't like to heavily spin my tires......I get all muddy.:redneck:

Wet/muddy roots - NOTHING will give you better traction than a BFG sticky. No, I'm not kidding. They are not just for dry rocks.:;

Thats why you run Iroks in the winter right?

Trying to :stirpot: I assume.

I run my Irok's now for our most recent snow runs. Now that the snow is all but gone, I have to get a new set of stickies......by April I will have a set of stickies back on.

Im ready to buy tires, like NOW. I havent actually priced stickey crawlers, but my guess is they are not cheap. Some of you guys fail to realize that some people expect their tires to last for two years, even if there is 5% more climbs I cant crawl. If I was sponsored or had the money to chunk away on a rock then yes, I would get them.

what do you you really think a an sx would cost for a 43inch? and would I blow your mind if I told you i paid 354.00 a tire for my maxxis stickies shipped:;

oh and that was two years ago and they are just broken in:D

The common misconception is that stickys only excell in the rocks. For those that dont know a sticky will overachieve in EVERY situation except for snow PERIOD. Yes they are built for the rocks, but if you keep them in the woods they will last a long time and will leave Swampers etc in the dust. Comparing a production tire to a sticky is pointless.:;

Yup!:awesomework:

Would I blow your mind if I told you I bought my 39.5 Iroks for 975 shipped? It was 03':redneck:

Seriously though, what do sticky 39.5 BFG's cost? Can the public buy them? I would love to have a set, but another $1000 for a set of tires wouldnt be worth it. Now $500 more, maybe.

your right we got off topic now lets see who ordered the new sx:corn:

I got friend that sold his 38.5 SXs (90percent) to buy a set of 42 sxs next week.

Ill post up some pics of them on the rocks, were putting a set of dual cases in right now and will be done before the tires get here next week.:beer:

Im not gonna be able to try them myself for a while. I only buy used, near new tires to save some cash. I dont see these hitting the classifieds anytime soon. I wont pay over a grand for any tires, new or not. Maybe Ill wait till my buddy needs 44s or 47s then Ill buy his old 42s next year.:beer:

maybe i misread...i thought this was about the SX?

Oh, I should just smack you......

Everytime Interco comes out with a prefered tire those that prefer them spew the same crap....."wish it came in a sticky". Not realizing the compound make-up is what makes BFG and Maxxis tire perform well. Not the "sticky" label one associates. A tires durometer is just a measurement in the lab, what works in the field may be very different.
