forward when I go backwards....

Uh, with brushless I thought all you had to do was switch 2 of the 3 wires to reverse the direction... or has that changed since I built my whirleybird? :eeek:


Since this old thread got bumped, I'll clarify this answer -

Switching any two motor wires works on NON-sensored brushless setups, both in-runner and outrunner. This works on systems like the Mamba line from Castle. This type of system is very prone to "cogging" especially at low speeds.

The Novak stuff is a sensor type system, which involves the bundle of small wires that go from the speed control and plug into the motor. These tell the ESC what the rotor inside the motor is doing, and allows the system to be completely smooth, even at low speeds.
