Yes you need to insulate your walls. Make sure to cut foam pieces to go in your garage door sections if they didn't come with them.

That flat of a lot and no walk out basement? ??? Fa real

Just looked at the garage pics and damn you have a deep shop buddy! thumb.gif Is there any basement left other than for the furnace/water heater/laundry. Unless your laundry is upstairs

Get jrish, and Tmac drunk and they may smash a hole in the concrete on 50's for a basement door

Down the road, i'd prolly concrete saw a door underneith the deck. But thats just me. That way you can come in the basement in mud clothes and ditch them in the gayrage before tracking mud up and through the kitchen. Sorry I hate opening a agarage door just to go in and out, in and out.

Think about when its winter, and you're drinking, errrr I mean working on the 30 in the besement and have the need to piss outside? Garage open, pee, garage closed.

Or it wasnt in the pics, a door on the side with the garage doors.

Sorry paul not nit picking your new house, is fuggin tits. But you know us, always got to look the gift horse in the mouth. :flipoff1:

I love the fact that almost every picture that P took a Keystun can made a cameo!!! :flipoff1:

Im all class baby, you know this. laughing1

there is a regular ( well a little larger than regular ) walk in/out door in between the garage doors... Its basically how I go in and out of the house since i park down there.

Bones, behind the Thirty, you can see a door... there is a seperate "room" back there and a closet for under stairs storage as well. When you go down the stairs from the living room you can also turn right into this room or turn left into the garage side.

Right now the "room" has all the shop tools and materials and stuff in it.

pimpin ain't easy but it's neccesary!

man that crib is sesssay... wish I could ford me somethin all nice brick built like that out here thumb.gif

Ha sorry about waking the neighbors last night w/ my 1st gear assault down the road in the Bimmer..
I got a little excited.. must have been the Keystuns.. :flipoff1:

congrats on the house man!
Your sure did get moved quick!

Keep us informed on how you like the basement/garage and if there's anything you'd change. I've been considering doing something like that

Last two houses have been raised ranches Travis and I love them. One unfinished so I had the entire basement to tinker. that was nice!

I know for now its so awesomely conveinent to have everything "in the house" tools, buggy and whatever.

I dont know how I feel about doing fab work though , Im really torn on doing any kind of larger project at all in there. I really dont know yet until I do a few small things and see how cleanup and odor and so forth goes I guess.

Id like to put a shop on the back side of the lot eventually to do larger things out of , isnt going to happen soon obviously. laughing1

Basement sucks for fab work and so forth because of the welding and grinding. Grinding makes a hell of a mess in the basement. I love mine for doing maintenance and so fourth cause it is cool in the summer and warm in the winter. But if you do anything that has an odor it goes upstairs. You can raise both doors and stick a BIG fan in one door to circulate the air and you are good though.

I never noticed a smell upstairs from working in the garage unless it was spilled gas or a melted tire from a burnout. :dunno:

House from the back and the back porch..
that rear shot...did they run out of fuggin dirt? looks like the backfill should have come up to the bottom of the deck and sloped down behind the stairs to a wall. other than that, cool as crib. I like the deep garage.
