what are you guys using?
why?
results?

diesel newbie, got some respectable recommendations, also got info from teh diesel forums but they contradict the recommendations, so lets hear/read what you use?

thanks

BTW, I have a 02 Dodge CTD burner.

I use the PowerService Walmart stuff.....sometimes....

not as consistantly as I prolly should....but when I do use it, I 'think' I've noticed a very minimal gain in milage....like maybe 0.5 mpg's or so...

mostly use it for VP44 longevity.....but, like i sayed, don't use it as consistantly as I prolly should...w/ the ULSD and all..

I run the same ****, and believe what you said is about right.

Two stroke oil and acetone mix.
Probably won't work with the new rigs but makes my old 7.3 run quiet and smooth plus a couple extra mpg.

This one is interesting.

7)Super Tech Outboard 2-cycle TC-W3 engine oil
Unconventional (Not ULSD compliant, may damage 2007 or newer systems)
HFRR 474, 162 micron improvement
200:1 ratio
16.64 oz/tank
$1.09/tank

I wonder if any old 2 cycle oil would have the same effect?

BG every other tank.....

Putting additive in every tank is BS if you ask me.. I have not seen any proof that doing so helps longevity...

Amsoil Additive every tank.
Amsoil Cetane booster every tank.
Stanadyne every tank.

Since new 120,000 miles in the Jetta going strong.

I run B99 from April to October. Reg diesel November to March.

Howes is great stuff.

I worked at a truck shop many years back and we sold most all brands. We started carrying Howes and everyone who tried it stayed with it. Real good stuff, you can't overtreat and it won't dry out seals.

BG?

If you mix properly shouldn't you need it every tank?

A product we cary here at the dealership--Doesn't cost me a dime :redneck:

Where is the proof that it makes a difference?

I have only seen 'assumptions' and no hard data to prove it does a thing....
