Gear Setup Help

I finally got it to work by doing exactly that. My pinion was actually too deep and then my setup bearings and new bearings were different brands and different sizes just like your showing. A new bearing tomorrow and I think I'm good to go. Thanks for all the ideas, it was about to get a bullet!

yeah that would be a PITA with different size bearings/races.

I prefer to just use the bearing I'm going to run to do setup. A good puller will let you get them on and off with no damage

+1 on this. I quit using setup bearings, I found I still had to pull and repull the "real" bearings after using the setup bearings to get it right.

Just skip the setup bearing now.
