if you run a set of rears up front and shackle flip with new springs in the rear (56's) its suposed to be good, never have ran it, about 4"s of lift

i run a 4" kit (pro comp) that flexes good and with just 4" of lift its real stable how much lift are you lookin for?

im not sure how much lift i want to go. i currently have a 2.5" lift. i just want enough lift to get me some good flex.
thanks

dounf the that setup you wont need a 4" lift, the springs will do that, theres lotsa ways.. first you need to decide exactyl what use itll be for, it isnt hard to get away from nonstreet friendly, or not fun to tow with.. look on www.coloradok5.com :flipoff:

well i mainly want to stick to mud but want to be able to have the flex for some light crawling too
thanks

if just light usage then just get a cheap lift kit that is not Rancho, they are stiff.. get some soft rides up front and shackle flip the rear, what they are talking about above is pretty intense and extreme, and NOT required contrary to the latest trends :stirpot:

ok sweet thanks. yea i have a 2.5" lift right now and plan to run bigger tires so that is why i was asking.
thanks

with 4", 33's will fit great, for 35's youll need to trim the back lower corner ..

also, you can do a reverse FREE homemade shackle flip on the rear and itll give you flex, 5" to make her level (no chevy sag) and the pinion angle will be perrrrrrfect :D.. this setup has been time tested and is GREAT for the average or slightly above average weekend player.. but not super heavy towing with shackle flip, kinda squishy.

i plan to go up to 37" or 38" tires eventually but for now i have 33" tires. i was thinking of jsut cutting out my fender for the bigger tires? where do i find info on the homemade shackle flip kit? because i saw someone on cragslist with one for sale for $100? i wouldnt know how to do any of this would you be able to help? if i do the rear shackle will it cause my rear to be way higher than my front? how would i level it?
thanks

of course there are bolt on setups that require no work and give you 4" and u staill have checy sag, or do a free homemade setup and have no sag, either depends on you (ya we see ya boxer grinnin :D )

ok well i dont want the sag. so where can i learn more about the no sag setup?
thanks for all this input it helps a lot

oh and that article tells you to move the front hanger forward, not necessary for using regular length springs

thanks for all the advice and help. so after doing this will me rear be a lot higher than my front? that is the only part im trying to figure out. sorry i dont have much experience thats why im asking so many questions
thanks

no the rear will be 1 inch higher top off, top on or loaded youll be level, its sweet because ALL chevys sag, then it wont.
