Ford sold them and drop the ball on everyone that bought one is all I'm saying.. No one should have a diesel with 100,000 miles and have to spend $4000 on it. Just my opinion. Although after my brother-in-law did that, that bitch is screaming now. Sorry off topic. Anywho, have been doing a lot of research about LP versus HP lately because i'm going to get some stickies, and have a LP. From what I got it's all about how you drive, you can blow up anything if ya have enough woopow and a lead foot. The HP is the move if ya are gonna start from scratch. I didnt make the choice on my rig. But I'm seriously considering a 14 bolt front. Dam i want one.

I know. He just said that anything Ford makes is better than Chevy. But technically Ford didn't make the 6.0. :)

I worked the service department at a Ford dealership during the 6.0 days. Probably no on here knows the 6.0-blues better than I do. We had 3 trucks bought back at our dealership and countless issues through the years. Probably replaced an engine every other week and heads every week whereas I don't think we EVER replaced a 7.3. I believe that Ford is still in litigation with International over those engines. I highly doubt you'll ever see an International in a Ford again.

It's not necessarily the lead foot but the power and weight. I have a buggy with 39" BFG reds. HP d44 chromos. 22r, rig weighs less than 3000 lb. never breaks axles. And I beat on it.

HP runs on the right side of the gear
LP runs on the "wrong" side of the gear.

Go HP D60 with 35 spline outers for sure
