Ok update. I replaced the "throbble" body gasket :flipoff: and tinkered with the TPS. Got the RPMs down to 850 when warm. Still think it shoudl be about 700rpms at idle, but close enough.

Anyone know what the TPS voltage should be at idle? Right now mine is 1.35volts.

You didn't try to change the idle speed by adjusting the throttle stop screw did you? If you did you will have to change it back and adjust the IAC along with the TPS. The TPS should be .54 volts at idle.
I assume you've checked to make sure the throttle cable linkage isn't binding?

Damn thats what I thought .5volts. The system has never been tuned properly. I didn't know there was a IAC adjustment:eeek:

ok I found a nice write-up on how to adjust the IAC. Looks pretty simple

The throttle stop screw is the IAC adjustment. That's why you don't try to change the idle speed by turning that screw. The computer controls the idle speed.
The IAC is easiest to do with a computer hooked up but IIRC the adjustment is outlined in this FAQ somewhere..

Ok bingo got it. TPS is at .52 volts, (close enough) and it idles at 800 rpms.
