GMC Concept

I wish I could have got a pic Saturday. Going in the opposite direction in IOWA was what looked like a legit prerunner. Glass sides/fenders, Cali "bra" lower ass than front, much wider long travel IFS, bed cage and 2 spares strapped vertically at each bed corner. I am hoping to see it again to snap pics, but did notice the red lettered General Grabbers and Iowa plates.

Someone here has too much damn $$ and I wanna find out if they have sisters. laughing1

Who does those conversions Wyatt? Is it a 100% custom suspension or can you actually buy it in kit form?

Fabrication Unlimited, no its not 100% custom but a good portion is. The front arms and uprights are Mazzula Offroad those are about the only kit parts on the entire trucks.
the top GMC is a 2011 6.2 truck straight from GM, got built then shipped to Wichita Kansas. Owner never saw the truck in person in stock form, and never went to Cali.
Red and Black trucks are FU owner trucks
Pretty much drop off your truck and $36k, and 3 months later pick up turnkey done. Dave over there is a good ass dude.

I gave up my diesel for a chevy 8.1 gasser, and I would rather tow with it. The mpg suxxxxxxx (9-10 towing/13 highway) but it pulls better than the fords, dodge diesels ive had.

x2 i love my suburban (family hauler) lol

I've seen a ton of 3/4ton Suburbans w/ Dmax's. Every now and then see them pop up on ebay. Obviously not from the factory but there are a handful of companies out there building them. Biggest one that comes to mind is DuraBurb, Inc. in Apopka, FL

Heres an old one off ebay

Dad said they won't build them because they can't fit the Allison under the Suburban.

The floor and frames are the the same between a 2500HD crewcab and suburban.
So I dont buy the not fitting.

I think it has to do with the government required MPG and fuel type in production for their production. GM never made 'em, and Ford ended large SUV diesels. Coincidence? I think the markets there.

My truck has the alison behind the 8.1 496. Its a really good trans for towing. I think the Ford tourque shift is better but for a gas engine 3/4 ton truck i am more than happy with mine.
