Hi guys !
Little weekend recap, since I have some time on my hand as I'm typing.
Saturday morning, after loading and driving 4 miles, blow out... Nice. Happy it happened that early and not on the HWY !
Tires were too old and Pat already had some issues last time. I figured we could give them a shot, but nope. After being rescued of an air chuck that fitted the wheels by Blake, we put as much air as possible in the other one and we make our way to the closest tire place, 8 miles away.
They only have high end Michelins, at $500 a pop... And we're chancing the 2 of course... At least we're safe now and that's french tires LOL
Take 2, we're rolling for good now. 3h of driving with no other issues.
Fuelling up before arriving.
Arrival at GMP, camp is set, RV plugged and the AC is running... Don't forget the breakers
D)
Now, on to the rocks and some fun !
And after spending some time having fun around the campfire, we're out there again for some night riding...
While manoeuvering, the buggy slid into a tire and the steering heim got shock loaded and cracked open. We tried using the winch to straighten the knuckle only to have the rope break on us... Good thing Matt had the part in his tool box and I know how to slice a rope...
Thanks for the spare buddy, Imma order some new ones this week.
Then it's Steve's turn to break the trunion on his Toyota... High steer bolts are sheered and extracting the vehicle is going to be a pain in the dark. We left it there for the night and turned back around for some sleep.
The morning after, the Yota is looking kinda sad...
Strapped it to Matt's Explorer and drug it out wrecker style to the camp !
After some more fun, the Yota is on the trailer. Hurray for High Lifts and winches !

On our side, the buggy is still working good, loaded up and headed back to Knoxville to unload and park everything.
I took a quick nap, some food and headed back home in VA... Woke up at 5.30 this morning, I'm tired, but happy, this weekend was great !
In the end, I'm very happy that Lori is getting the seat time she has. She's been doing amazing and is very safe and secure being the wheel. We made it half way up Cooperhead Rd at night then turned around as the trail became too hard for other vehicles in the group. But I have no doubt she would have made it all the way no problem.
It was my very pleasure to meet all the new faces, Sam, Travis, Mark, and (insert name here) who has a clean ass 7.3 F250 PowerStroke and Jim (I think) and his wife who rode in a big axleteched buggy on 54". Really glad to see some good friends again, Matt, Abigail, Steve, Luke, Patrick, Erica and all the ones I didn't mention.
Excited for Harlan !
