There is a guy in NC that sells on ebay for cheap. Grey and Jim use him for their trannys

Worst thing about that is... I wonder if the rest the case is stressed... I guess big picture is hell if it is this thing can be removed and transferred to another if I break the bitch again...

Im thinking pretty hard about ordering one, sure would get me put back together ASAP. Add another piece of bling to the rig too molaugh

227 outta Campbellenterprises.com outta Va... ( drag race folks not Shannon Campbell )

Im gonna hunt ebay adds. I think this is gonna be my route. I can this myself and not have to deal with tranny guys and labor and all that stuff.. cheap and quick just like me :flipoff1:

only thing is you have to be EXACT with your cuttin, so I've heard. you don't just cut it clear and bolt it up. hell, maybe even read the directions. Adam. my next rig is getting solid mounts after reading what you have posted a couple times and having the same probs as you. I've now broken 6 400 trannies with 205's on the back, and 1 350.....in just 2 wheelin trips. gettin fuggin expensive. the retrofit solid mount is the only bitch.

Hmmm exact with the cut may not be possible with mine, she's broke as ****. laughing1

Im going to call and chat with someone a little more on this today.

You heard wrong... if you want it to look really nice sure but I just spoke with them and told them mine used the "self removal" technique and asked if it would be a problem "

They said not at all, They have broke them off with air hammer or whatever was laying around to slap em on and continue racing ...essentially the "cut" is just to get all the material out of the way from the factory case.

Mine should be here Wednesday loller.gif pepper.gif

sweet! cutoff wheel it is. just make sure you get cut back of any cracks or stress risers. make a smooth, polished cut so it doesn't break farther. I have broken 2 bellhousings off inot the pump seal area. Does it take a stall converter the way a 400 one does? will a stock converter fit? I was under the impression from the Tfab thread that you had to have a small converter. not sure, just shooting from the hip form memory

I didnt even think to ask that, and they didnt say anything to the fact of it being an issue... I guess ill know Wednesday laughing1

Keep in mind you'll need to run a smaller torque converter than stock, i went with a 3500 stall and i'm very satisfied with the outcome. pepper.gif

P, keep me posted on this. I think I will need one for my buggy as well. Hmmm, I haven't ordered my real trans yet, I wonder if anyone sells them with the bell already installed....

If your running a th350 trans I have a small converter I'll give up. I think it's somewhere between 2200 stall. You'll need to get it cleaned out It may have some trans debris in it. If you want it I am planning on going to Randys on Saturday I could drop it off with him.

Sorry, I was at Cinco De MattO drinking margarita's and eatin nacho's... Brad, gimme a call tommorow at your leasure and talk at me... 205.527.3211
