Hangover run--Tonga

I had a lot of fun and it was good to meet you guys.

I'll get some pics up after I wake up off the couch. :fawkdancesmiley:

Nice to meet you all today. I had a damn blast. I brought along my wife's uncle who had never been wheeling before today. This man had a great time today.

Welcome to Tonga Ridge from Uncle Freddie-

He was amazed at all the entertainment that everyone provided throughout the day. I finally talked him into driving and he tried to pay you all back with some his own entertainment when he almost flopped my Jeep on the way out. This video sums up all of the fun that was had today.

I think brad had a little pucker on the way down--it was pretty icy in the compact snow and caught him off guard.

Thanks to Crash for organizing this run and breaking trail all day. It was great to meet everyone and play in the snow. We had a great time and were glad we brought the snow shoes to run around on while waiting for the trail to clear.

Here's some pics that we took:

Was impressed how deep Bruce could get without getting stuck on his 35 TrXus MT aired down to 5.

Sara liked how deep the tire tracks were so took this pic laying down in them:

Someone asked about a map....This is where I think we were. Not sure I've pinned the correct spur road at the end but this is definitely Tonga ridge. And BTW I don't think we were at 7000 ft. at the end of the road, more like 4300. On edit, google didn't save the map the way I intended. You can click on the satellite icon and then terrain to see the the elevation contours.

Great pictures everyone, had a good day. Nice to get to know everyone, nice weather, good snow and everyone made it off the MT. I got a few pictures to add, but they are close to the others. Mixed sunshine made of some sweet shots.

Is Bruce a member on this board?

He is a cool guy. We got close yesterday...we played bump to pass and our Jeeps kissed each other's asses. He even pulled me out of the same spot twice after I didn't learn the first time.

Glad everyone had fun.

I had to stop a few times because the snow was getting pushing/packed in my engine bay and causing the alt to slip on the serp belt, lol.

But IMO it was close to the perfect snow--just a tad heavy/wet. Where I got stuck I was able to make in prior years..
