Mine is also coming. Bring her along. I have not decided on which rig yet, so she may just stay around the RV during the day, or bum a ride if she feels like it.

She'll be there. I just told her she will have to put her big girl pants on, Harlan ain't like our little local spot we go to.

I have the 38 Special. Not sure I want to bypass some or take Solo Buggy.

Yeah, but 38 Special is the farthest thing from a beater... Maybe you don't need a beater, just something less than another 8th Wonder of The World thumb.gif

I would like for everyone to do lions den, with that said, I'd really like to check out the 38 special. That thing looks flashemifyougotem, by looking at the avatar. :****:

The build thread on pirate is the best 2 hours you will ever spend on that site, I assure you

I just wheeled a very long day there Thursday. Just wanted to inform you all about lions den. Expect to get scratches and dents. The floor of the trail is deep now. My friend on tons and 43's had to climb the tree and the rock in the pinch. That put his axles in an ugly situation but it came through. It's so dug out in between the two we couldn't get his a-pillar past the tree with a tire on the rock and 3' of air under his driver rear tire at 115" wb! I would suggest the alternate line there.

But going between the rock and tree, isn't impossible, correct? :dunno:
No, not at all impossible. Certain rigs will have trouble though. The rig that couldn't make the usual line has done that line at least twice a yr for the past seven yrs. It just isn't happening for him anymore. I looked back at some old pictures and it's very interesting how much it's changed. I wish I would have tried it in my buggy being smaller and narrower than him but I wanted that line over the rock lol, it's tricky.

I didn't notice much of a difference in April. The line he took is much cooler anyway.

Y'all got me worried some of the rust and spray paint may be removed from el Jeep.

Me and my Georgia crew just locked in 3 cabins at the harlan county camp ground. We go every year in Oct. We`ll be coming in on the 9th and probably go ride for a few hours then ride all day Friday and Saturday. We love the place and do our best to ride the whole place. Minus lions den. To tight for us. I`m probably gonna end up dropping one of the cabins in a few days so if somebody needs one give me a hollar.
