We swaped to the putney side, so spot 3 behind the dairy hut just opened back up if anybody needs it.

Pm sent, if anyone else is staying at Putney lets hook up so we can meet the rest of the group in the morning :dblthumb:

Re:

Starting my build. Tow pig needs some finishing touches, trailer still needs some welding, trailer brakes hooked back up and tires, slide in camper is a work in progress. So, I am right on schedule for scraping right in on time with nothing to spare.

About a month away. Who's ready, building, rebuilding. I got some front axle work and seats to get mounted this weekend. :drinkers:

I mounted tires tonight.... Still gotta put the new motor in the truck though :indianajones:

I am painting my skins and hood. Probably should wait but I can't rock that TN orange during football season.

Gotta do some trailer maintenance....replace brakes and pack bearings. Hopefully no carnage on the buggy before then, but at the rate I'm going probably won't be in the woods to break anything before then. Guess that's a good thing. :dunno:

Burnt 30 gallons of fuel on the mountain this past weekend, ate a Dairy Hut burger and some curly fries, and enjoyed every minute!!! Trails seem to be growing up bad, yall fellers put in some miles on them to clear them out a little!! Had no issues with the law, seen sheriffs, highway patrol and constables, all on highway with helmets hanging on roll cage. Constable stopped us at the Cabin where you buy passes on the Evarts side just to check our passes, and shoot the breeze no other issues(although I did see an unmarked charger sitting in the park beside the pirate ship checking some really drunk pedestrian after I was kinda letting the ole LS breath a little.....no issues though) Man I really hate I can't make this ride!! :****:

Re:

Got confirmation if my El Jeep isn't done, I have a rental. Way nicer than what I own and if I end up with the rental, I'll have to be a lot gentler than my typical driving style, but it does keep me on the trails. Ryan is the man and I am grateful for what he is doing for me.

Still got some trailer work to do, shocks on the tow pig and greasing all the fittings, and so forth and so on.

Sooooo....is this gonna be a shakedown ride for most then :(

Shakedown runs are usually my best runs. Doesn't give me enough confidence/seat time to really do damage. Either vehicle I am in will be driven pretty easy and will more than likely be helping with recovery, spotting and just seeing the sights. My second trip to Harlan I probably won't ride for an hour, two tops before it is flipped back over and drug to sit for the weekend on the trailer. :****:

I am going over Sunday with a small group and will try to take a video of the camping area by the dairy hut and the road going to the trail head and other parking and camping area for you guys that have never been it may help some one.

Sounds like some of the big dogs won't get past cream puff or little Jagger HAHA, I do hope everyone will get to see most of the park before they break but they will probably be tons of empty seats for just riding

We're going to be there that weekend before. We're staying in Putney though.

Ill be crusing the bunny trails and just riding. breaking in the new motor.
**** I may follow u! Haha. There's nothing cool to me about breaking my ****. This sounds like a great place to do that. Last thing I need is an expensive repair. First thing I need is a Lomax kit for da 205. Haha. Think I'm going to build new crossmember for transfer case, Apparently I built this one when I first learned to weld.. Hard to believe those booger welds hold up so good. God they are ugly welds. And god I hate welding to the frame under the dam rig. Am I the only one that has thought about cutting a hole in the trailer floor to work on my **** easier. (Redneck lift?) Haha. Either way I really look forward to meeting all of y'all. And i will be buying and video camera before then!

If you are already making a new crossmember then it's doubler time! A 50% increase with the LoMax will not be enough to crawl Boat Ramp. Also, plenty of ol' time drag racing folks cut their trailer floors out in the center :****:
