What park would you be interested in having a Hardline forum ride at?

I don't get the hard-on for gray rock anymore. It's kinda like your old girlfriend that you haven't seen in years, you just remember she used to be smoking hot and great in the sack. Then you run across her at the bar and she's 100 pounds overweight and has 5 kids. That's Gray Rock for me.

Anyone know why GR will let any amount of rigs in on a rsce weekend but not on a private ride?
From my understanding it is due to the event promoter providing insurance coverage for the weekend.

I never knew we dated the same girl. But yeah my feelings too. Although, I only ever went on private rides there so it was kinda nice. But now since half the park is gone, it's not fun to me. I MUCH prefer other parks.
Very much like folks wishing Tellico was still open. I miss the times, but then... I really don't. Not showering for 4 days, driving 20 minutes to the trail-head. Breaking on the trail and being 4 hours from camp... I love the new parks, amenities.

I never said the two i voted for:
HPO
Chocco
but I'd throw AOP and GMP in there as parks to have it at as well.

Here's my issue with letting folks decide publicly: It becomes pages of people's opinions. John, pick 2 or 3 folks, privatley talk about where to have the ride... Then announce it. A BOD of sorts...

I locked the voting.

As HPO (38) and GR (40) are virtually tied, and we have not done a forum ride at HPO, that makes the most since to me.

HPO is open January 2 & 16. February 6 & 20. Of those 4 dates, I am only available on February 20. And that conflicts with two events. AOP - Four Banger Series, and HSORV - SRRS Battlefest.

I have no problem calling Mark and see if he will open it up on an off weekend. But, if I do that, we need to have major participation, like we did at the Grayrock Ride.

I am looking at January 29-31 (last weekend in hunting season in Alabama), or February 12-14 (Valentine's weekend), or February 26-28.

Now looking for the level of commitment before I call Mark. And also what weekend is preferred.

I know the paying in advance was a pain in the ass.....but if you had fifty paid, non refundable tickets to begin with. Anyone else that showed up would just be gravy. I would be in for two spots. Got a buddy that would want to ride.

Was that per person or per rig?

It was per rig. I was just saying people couldn't say they are coming and back out. I have been to the last few HL rides and will do my best to make the next one too. Good folks and you actually meet some folks you might not see on a normal trip out wheeling.

So that we could have the fun of a "golden ticket" scenario and insure a good turnout

I think to have another "Golden Ticket" deal, you would need to have a special incentive if it was an unlimited amount of rigs allowed. Maybe a special price for the first 50??

February 26-28 Give everyone time to plan and hopefully have decent temps

My vote would be for this date also. If this is the date that you go with, I am definitely in.

It'd have the cool factor but I wouldn't want John to have to put up with the bs. Plus it's just as easy to pay at the gate when you roll up.

The weekend after Valentine's Day or 26th - 28th would be fine. I'm sure Mark will open the park up if it's an off weekend.

I'm in. Be good to get some locally to guide also.

Clint already chimed in between him and the normal Hpo group y'all will be taken care of
