• Help Support Hardline Crawlers :

Harlan Hardline Memorial Ride? Oct. 3rd-6th.

You'll have a hard time not spotting this rig in camp. See y'all tommorow, waiting to hear back from my co-pilot but I'd like to make it down around lunch time.

How'd you guys like that entrance to Mason Jar where you go around the tree? It's pretty interesting there now.
It is definitely interesting. I've got some vids of our group goin in the entrance. Fourbanger and another buddy took the old way in. My self and two other rigs went the new way in from the bottom and then around the tree. The long wheelbase rig in our group started at the bottom at the new entrance went straight at the tree up the rock face. Never came close to touching the tree. I will get the videos up in the next day or so.

We had a blast and wanted to turn around on the way home. Started raining today and that would have killed the dust. The dust was my only complaint other than the freeway that they made of Lower Damnation.:dunno:
Dont think I've seen the dust that bad.

Checked Lion's Den off my list and covered a ton of ground on Saturday after a few in my group had some issues on friday.

Closed out my weekend by rolling my rig off the little hill to left of the waterfall. :****:

One of the dumbest things I've ever done. Misjudged the drop in the dark and the weight transfer caught me off guard. Safety equipment did its job. Took a hard hit to the top left corner of the cab. Caved the exo in to the cab and pushed the windshield frame in pretty good. The cab never came close to hitting me and came away without a scratch or bruise. Had my belts on and some good friends around to flip my junk back over. I've got some work to do as an award for being a dumbass but it could have been a lot worse.

Damn scooter. Got any aftermath pics of the damage?
20191006_103715.jpg

Here is a pic the morning after Trav. I used the highlift to raise the cage and cab back up to make it easier to get in and out. Dana has a pic or two before I pushed it back up. I will get them on here this evening.

I've been needing to redo the cage for a long time. It was originally built 10 years ago when I didnt know a quarter of what I do now. It was built to keep the cab off of trees and provide some protection in case of a soft roll. I always stayed away from things like Cream Puff and Little Jagger because of it.

It did its job this time but what integrity it had is now gone so it's time for a new one.

Yeah, some of our group went the old way but just ended up repositioning and backing down the new trail to hit it at a better angle. The rest of us just went straight up the new trail. Really had to climb that ledge and turn left to get the back tires from hooking the tree.

That sucks about your flop but like you said, could've been worse and now you have an excuse to make it better.

I like it! It's getting rough!
It looked sketchy
the driver looked sketchy

It was a great weekend. Met a few great people from here but clearly didn't meet all that was there. Seen rigs in camp but wasn't sure who to talk too. I'm not the type to just walk up to someone and say hey. I was in a sxs and some of ya might seem me. I was the great big guy riding this with my brother
