Helmets at Harlan????

So you guys are saying that everyone needs to wear helmets when driving to the store on paved streets? I won't argue helmets are a good idea when wheeling, but strapped into a buggy driving down the road at 30mph is safer than dragging that same buggy on a trailer at 70mph down the highway. Do you guys wear helmets while driving the tow rigs too?
molaugh I was starting to feel like a criminal. Lol
Still gonna get a helmet. Just didn't think it was cool to face a possible citation for something that evidently everyone on here wasn't aware of either. :wtflol:

May I suggest this one. It is much more comfortable than the Axel I bought. Their small was too small and the medium was too big. This one is much more adjustable, and comfortable, albit at a higher price point.

I make my money using my head, perhaps you should skip the helmet and wear gloves. :flipoff1:
Haha :flipoff1: it looked like this was turning into a "helmets are good vs bad" debate instead of figuring out if you legally had to wear one in town, so I had to be a smart ass :cougar:

Yes all class 5 trails at Harlan are helmet required although our group stupidly does not wear them,,never heard of a helmet law for buggys in Evarts but its not a bad thing and I will be taking my helmet up for our ride in October :dblthumb:

Called and talked to city of evarts. They stated its been the law for years that any unregistered and uninsured vehicle occupant must be wearing a helmet. Its just not been enforced. They said its bacially up to cops descretion. She said thing are getting more and more strict. I believe as stated before....why ruin a good thing....just put a helmet on. It would really suck if they stopped allowing everyone to ride on the road.

Glad we got some clarification on this. We will be going over there later this fall. I don't mind wearing a helmet. I've got kids and grandkids and id like to be around to watch em grow up. And really it's silly not to wear one anyways i've had limbs come through the windows and everything in the past,i've just been lucky. Not to mention i don't think i could live with myself if someone got hurt in my rig just because we weren't using safety equipment.
