help i need to borrow/buy a TPS ASAP

He needs to make SURE he has an 89+

People swap all kinds of stuff around.

So to clarify

3/89 and earlier Pt#89452-20050 ALSO THERE WAS AN ALTERNATE LISTING OF 89452-28030

3/89 and newer Pt#89452-14050

so the one in your hand is 87-88

were are you finding this information? i would like to no what year TPS i have then...:eeek:

Alldata...gives Pt#'s and list prices for informational purposes...I didn't check to see what yr your Pt # came from, but sounds like that was answered for you by Trekinseattle....I just did a quick check based on the yr of your truck( and for a 90-which calls for the 14050), then had to get back to work---I wasn't ignoring you!!! :awesomework:

I'm going off memory. But that memory has touched so many Toyotas it lost count years and years ago. :redneck: :haha:

I have personally owned around 20 84-92 22R-22RE trucks. Of which I have rebuild most of thier engines.

I have only owned 2 V-6 trucks .... yuck, bleh, :puke: , cough, choke, NEVER AGAIN. LOL

Did you test the sensor with a ohm meter? If you just unpluged it and the problem seems to go away then it probably isn't the problem.

Ive been thinking it all week...why didnt ya go to pull a part and snatch one up?

i wish i had the time to do that... my weeks are jam'd full of school and work... i may run up there today if i have to.. i want one that i no works for sure

Then you should know if it works for sure. What did you find out when you did the test?

not sure what you mean, but i test the TPS off my truck and with the throttle closed there is not continuity and there should be.. between e2 and IDL picked up a sensor from Mark M and this one reads continuity with the throttle closed, i will find out tomorrow if it is the problem or not:rolleyes:

thanks again mark:cool:

can't wait to start wheelin again:stirpot:

Sorry I was out in Issaquah working for the last two days. I was up till 2 am friday night assembling a 22RE for a friend. I ended up staying the night up there. Again I am sorry I wasn't able to get that TPS to ya. It's awsome Mark had the right one and it seems to work good.

Mark to the rescue for the 1,000,000,000.00 time !!!
