How much tube for a cage?

3 sticks, each 16-20ft you'll have leftovers from each stick, but will need a fresh one for the hoop, the halo, and split one in half for a pillars. That will be enough for a basic cage. might as well buy like 5 sticks, spiderweb the roof, add a windshield bar, a belt bar behind the seats, door bar, triangulation, and then either cut a hole in the floor and tie to the frame, or sandwich the floor and bolt both sides and tie the bottom plate to the frame. either way tie to the frame. you can never have enough tube though, buy as much as you can afford.

Leftover materials are a good thing, And the more tube you buy the cheaper it is.

pretty sure about the interior. the truck will get beat, but i hope to get it close enough to the pillars that in a roll a windshield could still fit. i've pondered somehow tying it into the pillars to further strengthen that area.

as for tying it into the frame... abolutely.:awesomework: i'd be worried about only having plates over the body mounts. and nothing tied into the frame:eeek: thanks for the suggestions.:awesomework:

i've rolled my truck severely once, and wouldn't like to do it again without a cage. people are giving me **** for this thread, but i thought i'd start thinking about investing in some safety, because my truck is well on its way to being back to the trail:flipoff: ...just getting ideas. i'll likely include spreaders, door bars, etc. all the extra stuff to keep me and the topless broad in my shotgun seat safe.
