I was going to edit my last post. But seems like the 70 gears would be a good upgrade, if start breaking 60 stuff. And it wouldn't hurt the wallet as bad if you were already running a 60.

Probably $1000-2000
~$1000 bare minimum

Gear set $500
Jana 76 bearing kit $340
35 spline yoke/flange $125 (1350 Strange)
machining your existing Dana 60 spool (or buying a D70 carrier) ??? according to your hook up on machine work.

No doubt the OEM 10" gears or the D60 35 spline pinion gears are going to be the most cost effective.

I'd drop one of those in and mash my motor till it broke

Gear Works Hi-10's are $3K +
