Where can I get a pitman arm puller that's forged and not made in china?

I bought mine at Napa, taken several arms off without a problem. I also usually tap on the side of the arm once I get some pressure on it. Works great on tie rods also.

We just took a grinder wheel to the stock pitman and it came of in 3 minutes.. just be careful not to grind as deep as the splines on the sector shaft..

Yes. the 8 year old HF impact broke them. The first one stripped out the threads for the screw. So I backed the screw up with a grade 8 nut and then it broke the ear off. The last 2 I broke today just with the impact. I ended up using the craftsman hammer to get both arms off. (swapping boxes, keeping drop pitman)

I have a K-D puller that wasn't too expensive that I can't seem to break.

I bought mine at GI Joes year's ago, it's the same type as your's, I had to thin the grabber feet a little for fitiment issues, I've used it on hundred's of pitman arm's and no issues, I'm sure I could break it real quick, on a real bad pitman arm I never snug it up more than two times while whacking it.

I got mine at Tool Town in Kirkland. Pretty much the same shiat as Harbor Freight for the cheapy tools, but overpriced. They do have SOME good stuff though if you poke around. I got the decent one though, I think its a K-D or something.

Snap on makes the absolute best one. I got tired of breaking the style of one you got, so I bought theirs. Not going to break it anytime soon, and its make to be used with an impact gun.:awesomework:

Its the Mac daddy, but OTC makes one identical for less, hell they probably make it for snap on.
