It didn't. I knew it was after I broke the first one that had one pitman pull on it already, and the fact I bought 2 at $6.99 each to replace it...

heat is your friend while trying to pull a pitman arm with the HF pullers.

Not unless the box is trash or you want to replace the seals.


I use a puller from NAPA...looks the same as the broken ones. One full turn with a wrench and a few wacks with a hammer-rinse and repeat until arm pops

Try proformance tools brand, I bougth one at Baxsters Auto Part! $8 I used a big crecent wench and a 5 foot braker bar and the puller never broke!

Guess that I have been lucky with my HF one. It took off my aftermarket NWOR arm that was on my truck for about 5 years. Granted I used the BFH more than the impact to tighten the puller.

I broke one I purchased from Schucks. Still haven't replaced it, been a few years since I needed one.
