I wish we had events like this around here. It may be redneck as hell but it would be a Damn good time.

Most of these events are pretty local to me.. 99% of the trucks out there have engines in them that required a second mortgage. The link geometry on most of the trucks is a joke. Most of the trucks are being built with negative antisquat numbers. A good portion of the local builders have absolutely no clue. They cant tell you what kind of effects link placement has on the handling of the truck. They just want to have a 4 linked truck and start building.. Then 3 or 4 other guys think the truck is awesome and copy it... before you know it that "design" is gospel and when asked "if the link geometry was so good why does the truck squat or try to roll over on itself, all they can come back with is b/c of the motor in the truck. 50% of my business is redoing these fawkups, mostly comming out of other shops..

when the truck first showed up on the web, i read that it was in the 2-2500hp mark depending on blower pulleys.

dont be hatin, everybody knows the mud trucks only have 4-link set ups cause it looks cool. they dont do any better than the leaf spring trucks in deep mud, and I have noticed that the trucks really want to roll over when climbing out of the off camber ruts. It really doesnt matter that much on a mud truck, but if you are rockcrawling/racing thats a whole nother story.

I could sit and watch stuff like this all day long. There is nothing better than a good ole mud bog with your buddies hanging out and mixing a few chiller slurpies. But there is no way I could ever spend that kind of money on a motor knowing it could blow apart in one day. I have a hard time spending big money to buy equipment that I know will pay for it's self and make me money.

On the other hand...... The money he has in that truck would go along ways toward the boat I want on the emerald coast. Then I could sit on my Sedan Bridge and watch mud bogs and rock crawls on the big screen while chasing the sun set. :****: :woot: :woot: :woot:
