heres the way i see things... if a black man gets elected i am willing to accept that the country i choose to live in has made that decision... obviously he was the stronger candidate, i did vote for mccain, but obama won, he came from poverty, w/ no father figure and he is now the president... it is historic, you all should be proud that this man has accomplished this.... i mean this is the way that i see it, if he can do it, any black, poverty stricken, single parent raised american can... this is a time in history that we can tell anyone, black, white, asian, hispanic etc. can accomplish anything they want WITH OUT A HAND OUT!!! these are the people that bring our country down, and they have always used the race card, or being poor, or not having a dad as an excuse, thats gone now, no more excuses, we all have someone to look up to, someone that can be a POSITVE roll model for minorities... **** all of these rappers that do nothing more than brain wash our youth, which leads to crime, which are then a burdon on society... they can now look at what an education and hard work can get them... i am not racist, as i am betting all of you on this board are not either, get over it, as you are no better than some "baby mama" saying she cant get ahead cause the man is keeping her down by "hating" obama, because he's black....

What do Obama and JFK have in common?

Nothing YET

Did you see Obama's speech on the economy?

He said "I can't fix it but I can damn sure ****** rig it."

Hey y'all, things will be OK. Have you heard of a black man holding a job for 4 years?

Things are looking up already. **** Cheney just invited Obama deer hunting.

I think his first tem he will keep more centrist and not try to piss that many people off. He understands that while he won the electorial vote by a good bit that the popular vote was way closer. He will lull everyone to thinking that he is not so liberal so he can get re-elected. If he does get re-elected for a second term, he will go with all the far left policies that he is known for, and then we are in trouble.

do you think he'll wait that long? he has a dem congress. I say he acts now. he might not be so lucky in 2 or 4

He isnt waiting for ****, he already named that Rahm Emanual dood to his cabinet and that was THE NEXT DAY.

Its going to be dem control ASAP, I dont see him concerned with another nomination I think his position is to get as much Democratic control in place as soon as possible.

We will see, but I dont see alot of "bi-partisan" decisions getting made laughing1

exactly the first 100 days will be busy, then they'll run the guanlet on the american taxpayer for the duration of the term. Sorry I do not see them getting a 2nd term. Big business will run them out of have them whacked.

I'm not saying he will get the 2nd term, but it just seems logical that they will try to stay in power for as long as they can. I mean look at all President's second terms. That's when they start pushing their personal agendas on the nation because they really don't have much else to lose at that point besides screwing up or pissing people off bad enough to impeach them. I'm just saying I think that the really blatent liberal BS will try to be slipped by us gradually so they get less resistance instead of ramming it down our throats all at once. But, maybe not.....maybe they really are that stupid.

I think we both see your point, but that's a big gamble for him to PLAN on being reelected with a dem majority congress. IF he did, there will most likely be a republican congress fighting tooth and nail to not get his measures passed. this would cripple most of his "change" efforts. I think right now he is weilding POWER and will use it. Again, do all he can without impeachment.
