Has to be 4 door.

Has to be 4x4

Has to have an automatic tranny so the wife can drive it.

Can NOT be a dually cause the wife wants to drive it.

Price around $25K

Would really like a Duramax. I've found a few good high mileage diesels, but mostly lifted or duallys. :booo:

Karl you can have this for half that price;

It's a gas truck though, 6.0 liter.

well it's gotta be a dirtymax or a 7.3.. I wouldn't wish the 6.0 on anyone.. I'd keep looking for a chebby if I were you... You afraid of taking off a lift kit or something? I know this 4wd stuff is new to you. But it aint that hard..

I've called a few craigslits ads with lifted duraturds. They don't have the original parts anymore. :booo:

I'm sure you could find someone wanting to lift their rig and just swap you parts.. If not there's gotta be original parts on the diesel forums I'm on, I can start asking around if you want to go that route.

If I do go that way, I'll let you know. :awesomework:

If i were you i wouldn't even ponder the idea of buying a chevy/gmc lifted and trying to take the lift off it is not that fun a buddy of mine and i did it to mine and his and it sucks. A ford or dodge ya go for it

Ya you can do it is just not the funnest thing

why? everything is bolt on. and you need nothing more than basic hand tools. you only have to cut and weld one small section? me and another buddy swapped lifts on eachothers trucks in 10 hours. with help from TTF FAB the last 3.

Karl you are going to run into a slight issue trying to swap back to stock due do tht fact that if its a 4" or bigger lift....where the stock crossmember goes you cut a section out. it is doable to make the stock parts fit, but id rather look for an unlifted truck. if the trucks just has a leveling kit your golden. but be smart and get the duramax, you will only thank yourself:cool:
