Is anyone actually riding?

Oh, and some guy offered me 80k for my buggy. . Sounded pretty serious but I turned him down since I didn't want to be rigless. Looking back, I could've easily bought something decent and had a bunch leftover to make it really nice. Hopefully I come across him again.

Maybe it's a regional phrase, but riding it for dirt bikes, or a giveaway that you drive a side by side. I do drive/wheel my Jeep as much as I can…

Last was 3 weeks ago-

Don't ride much if at all in the winter, just don't like the wet slop. Last trip was October, next trip is windrock in June.

Rode at sand hollow for a week

Sigh. I want to get out and go, but have been stuck in a mutli year build and moved to Tennessee. One day I'll finish it or maybe I'll sell it I dunno.

Bought a new to me buggy in November and made it out in December and April. Both trips were at windrock with a day at the sand minds. Shaking out the new buggy blues.

I don't ride anymore. I sold my rig. Then I sold my truck and bought a diesel Jetta to drive into town at my job in a high rise building. Sitting here on the edge of a mid life crisis I am 41, have some disposable cash and got out of buying trucks and equipment for work so I'm itching to buy something irresponsible. Looking for a K5 that is not restored but driveable. Son is close enough to driving we "need" to start looking. And I need a truck so if anyone has something they don't want a million dollars for I'll take a low mileage Duramax I'm good shape.

I quit riding around 4 years ago. Everything local closed. (Nearest is 3.5 hrs.) Guess it happened as my interest was starting to wane.

Most all of the group I rode with have sold their rigs. I Sold my big Yellow Jeep three years ago to a friend. Then I built a 3" lift on 33s XJ for my Granddaughter, She and I have been riding with him, mostly at Uwharrie. Granddaughter drives and I spot (and panic) from the right seat.

I do miss the hardcore off-roading with our group. Those trips were some of the best times I've ever had. I do have a small streetable TJ and an LS I've been trying to decide to build. Its been hard for me to get motivated again, when I look around here and it seems off-roading is becoming "frowny face" grills and rubber ducks!:(

Or... I'm 67 and I might just be getting tired!

Wow, seen some names that have not been around for awhile!

No riding for me for multiple years. Was planning trip to Moab when covid shut everything down and just kinda lost the desire to go anywhere. Bought a motorcycle a few years ago and ride it some. Plus life just gets in the way all the time. Too much crap and projects to do at home.
