Is it really that hard to make beadlocks?

Is going directly to Walker Evans out of the question for your order? What was the price difference? I've bought stuff direct from WE and the service was great the price was cheaper than expected and the stuff showed up 3 days later. On top of that, about 2 months ago, they had 17" 8 lugs on the shelf ready to ship. (I was crazy and thinking about a $400 spare rim... :dunno:)

WE has hit me as being just as poor service as Mike Shaeffer. They don't know seem to know theirhead from their ass and I have had to phone stalk them for 2 days to get an answer. It looks like they had a large part in this recent fawk up. I sent Mike at B&T a PM last night he is going to check on some TR's for me based on what Travis said that may be a good shot. I don't know what else to do guys. The Spyder locks are out of the budget I believe. I also found out from Clifton on PBB that the Spyder locks are not made by KMC, just made in the same factory. Whatever that means? I should not of spent what I did on the polished WE's, so I would like to much less than that for the replacements. Hope to find out some more this AM.

I can get them to your door for $475 - they're not complicated at all - I just tried to be super detailed in the write up. I just used tire spoons and the hardest part is mounting the actual tire not the airlocks. HF has those cheap manual machines that I plan to get and brace up. I'll try to get a date on when they could get to you today. feel free to give me a call 314-402-7342

Also a buddy we compete with is hooked up with allieds and has new and used ones for sale

I really just need to get a standard beadlock wheel and be done. I think I wanna run the airlocks on my buggy in addition to a normal beadlock and will call you abut them when the time comes. I am intrested in the Allieds can you have him call or email me with some pics and prices?

Thanks for your help Mike and Travis and for all the other guys that have offered to help out. I am going to try the PBB post also.

posted you info on there for you - I'm sure he'll contact you soon

Fyi you don't need a beadlock wheel and airlocks - I guess it would work but be redundant

you can get weld on rock rings and they're a little cheaper - like what people use on hummer rims

That gives me an idea! - Kelly get that table running and make some that have inner airlock in them and the logo (it's pimp)

Man people surprise me daily. Dan at BTF was the first to respond and sent me a PM about a used set locally and said he could have a new set in a week.

FWIW, I have been running cheap steel wheels for years now and I've never even burped air. Sometimes I run at 2 or 3 psi too. When discount tire mounted them I told them to use lot's of bead sealer. I was there as they coated each wheel with the stuff and it's been like magic for me.

For $160 (40x4) you could be back on the trail. If it doesn't work for you could sell the wheels and not be out too much or weld on beadlocks.
