I'm on the opposite side of the dogpile. He is expressing his opinion. He did so in a privately controlled playground, so he can be kicked out, but I try to respect others' opinions. I struggle with my faith daily and my mind is wired much the same as JJ's. Poor taste? Probably. who isn't guilty of that at some point or another. I'm a blunt ****. I try to also be considerate of others' feelings. Unless you're a raving liberal, then **** you. laughing1 So if he does something that mocks Christians, we as Christians should tar and feather him and ride him out on a rail? Kind of the opposite of the teachings of Christ. Something or other about turn the other cheek. They will keep hitting, just keep smiling at them and praying for them. Whatever. I say 30 was long and done with emotion. A week maybe, but then again, didn't read what was edited.

The ban did not happen until he brought attention to the porn on this forum. So maybe there was some emotions involved.

Some people don't get it. It's not what JJ said, it is where he chose to say it.

This is a site full of Men being men and a few tough women. Jj could have said it in his own thread and had opinions in both directions, but he chose to piss on a thread about someone cementing a path in their life...

IMO JJ has chose his path in life, because he has no real suffering in his life, he has decided he doesn't need God... That is his choice. He loves intellectual conversation and likes to pick people apart to see where they stand and if they truly stand firm, the problem is somewhere in the journey of intellectual thinking he develops an air of intellectual superiority that then forces him to give his own opinion and talk down to people as if they are stupid.

It wasn't that he referenced the nudy threads, it was the tone of his post.

I don't care how straight talking billy badass anyone is that ain't afraid to hurt feelings and all that macho horseshit, bringing negativity into someone's life who is going through a tough time and trying like hell to move forward is a **** move, especially when you are not even directly involved in said scenario. Just keep out of it....it's that simple.

I'll never understand people with this complex... do you go into restaurants, stop at random people's table and tell them they are fugly or fat as **** just because they are in your vicinity and you speak your mind at any given time? No, you keep your grown ass mouth shut, think your thoughts, and go on about your life. So why act any different here? Because there is an internet wall between you and said person you are directing your negativity toward? I call it like I see it and always speak my mind, but there is a time and a place for that, and there is a time and a place to just keep your mouth closed.

****'s real simple people. It wasn't about the mentioning of porn threads, it's was the tone of the post. He was warned to bring his bullshit to another thread, instead of acting maturely on the matter, he posted yet another post like a pissed off teenage girl. Complete lack of respect.

I would expect it to be handled the same way in person. If 10 of us and Casey was standing around a fire at an offroad park, he's pouring out his heart to us about his situation and telling us about his plans to better himself, confiding in us and seeking support, and some asshole comes along trying to blow smoke up his ass, I'll be the first one to call him out in person and tell him to **** off and take that **** elsewhere. It's not hard to not be a ****.

This x1000 If someone is trying to better themselves why be a ****? It's like shaming a fat guy at the gym ( I can say that because i'm the fat guy) or a hobo at a job fair. Why be a **** just be a ****??

The matter has been placed out in the open for all to be aware of now, situation explained, thoughts given, and I see no need for this thread to continue on. I vote for a thread lock.
