Alright so I will get alot of **** for this but I'm thinkin about getting a jeep. Street use only, I would't dream of trying to wheel it. I'm thinkin late 80's-early 90's Wrangler with a strait 6.

So I'm a total Jeep noob are there any things I should watch out for, other than the jeep itself?

Whats a good price for one of these with around 150k miles? What would I have to do do to run 31's or 33's on the street?

I see they came down with fuel infection in 91. how well do the carbs work? Any difference in fuel economy?

Fuel economy with the carb'd or FI 6 cylinders suck.

Better off saving a little coin and buying the 4 banger and swapping in a small V8.

It will have the same gas mileage as the 6 cyl. and way more fun :redneck:

I was thinking about driving a convertible this summer that is only halfway gay. I was considering sami's but there just too small and tinny. Old cruisers and broncos are not gay but I dont want to work on them and they get worse gas milage.

What world do you live in?

You want an 80's to 90's Jeep with 150k on it and you don't expect to work on it as well?

well I hate to say it, but there are alot of toyotas out there of this vintage that run great with no headaches.

You are saying that you can buy a 150k mileage yota that is 17 years old and drive it everday and never have to fix anything?

**** your an idiot

So it's not going to need a tune up?

or...
Brakes?
Seals?
Bearings?
exhuast?
tires?

Yes sir, thats what I'm saying. If you dont beleive me that an 87 toyota 4 banger with 150k that had good maintainence can run for a couple years trouble free, thats ok, you will prob never get it.

for sake of debate please realize that I dont claim all toyotas are godly, I'm just saying there is a fairly good chance that an old one can be obtained that will run for a good period of time with little to no maintainence.

I've owned three Toyota's...your still a fawking idiot

You assume that buying any used vehicle that it was maintained properly and doesn't require repair? And this is especially true for Yota's :haha: :haha: :haha:

I have some ocean front property in South Dakota you should look at buying too :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha:

I cant help it if you dont know how to find a good used vehicle. :fawkdancesmiley: Sorry you had bad luck.

3 years ago I bought my buddy an 85 sr5 extra cab 4x for 1300 bucks. He has driven it every day since with one tune up and regular oil changes. And to live in reality I've had 6 or 7 toyotas and 2 of them ran without major work.

You sure make a lot of stupid assumptions.

And so now it's major work not just maintenance?

If you are that good at buying used vehicles then I am sure you can find a 150k mileage 17 year old Jeep that will not require anything more than driving it
