Got the new skid plate made...

So next I gotta replace his dig servo and built a new springable rod like mine

That skid plate turned out nice. Did you drill and tap a 3rd hole on the bottom of the trans?

I sure did. I don't know where they came up with the hole setup--no rig has that wide of a chassis....

Mine does. :flipoff: I am only using one of the bottom holes though, I have 2 screws on each side of mine holding it in place.

So here is how his dig linkage used to be setup. It worked but not to its full potential..

So I tossed in the new servo (133 ouz.--same as mine), a new servo horn and made some new linkage..

So now it works like mine--you can hear it go "click"--I personally like to hear the dig unit snap..

So I forgot about his steering linkage--the tie rod was all bent and the rod ends all loose/shot..

So I went and tried something different. Instead of using either solid alum. or sleeved alum with 6/32 allthread in the middle. I chose to use 1/8 piano wire. I think that will hold up good....
