Line locks

What you want is a Mico Lever Lock. They been doing these things for about a billion years. You can do a google search for Mico if ya want.

That is exactly what I want.

Thanks guy, that kicks ass. I like the built in safety of sounding the horn if pressure drops.

So that's what that lever in Hip's rig does. No wonder it's such a bitch to move around the shop sometimes.

one other thing to think about....not sure if apply's to what you're wanting Karl...

the advantage of the valve over the line-lock (check valve style) (electric or manual)....is that w/ my ONE valve, I can isolate either the front OR the rear axle braking....

give the brakes a good pump, close valve.....rear brakes locked....front dig...

w/ no brakes....close valve.....hit the brakes.....front brakes locked....burn the rears....

that, and alot less moving parts etc.....

though, the Mico's are a good piece, and, like has been sayed, have been around since the dinosaurs...

my good quality ball valves works great for linelocks, no issues. just make sure they are rated fro use with brake fluid.

I broke a rear axle, through in my spare which has thats has the brakes and backing plate removed for easy storage and lock out rear brakes, still have front brakes and no issue of fluid leaking everywhere. Would work equally well if a brake line is broken after the ballvalves, lock it out and still have brakes at one end.
