I let my buddy drive the truck thru some atv trails on their farm during his going away party and this is what I awoke to.

Time for some upgrades and a body man!

2 of the steering studs were already broke before we started so there really wasn't any damage that I didn't expect.

BADASS! That is some carnage. How'd he do it? And I am assuming he'll be kicking in on parts and lending a hand on the repair?

I showed up at 8pm to his going away thingy
2 studs out of 4 were already broke
there was some small atv trails thru the woods - nothing good
he drove it around from about 11pm till 6-7am
I went to bed around 5am and it still hadn't broke but the bed was already wadded up

I'm not pissed at all, damage was already done, he won't be kicking anything in. I wouldn't have minded some help to fix in the morning so I could get home though, but I totally understand that he wasn't feelin too hot at 9am I wasn't either.

He's moving to Ohio to work for Honda as an ATV test engineer - **** him!! He gets to ride atv's all day and report back and they're gonna pay him for doing that! He's a lucky bastard.

To fix it - i have a spare knuckle to get me going again but that housing and whole front end has been beat on for a long time now. Anything that hasn't broke is about too. I'm trying to investigate my options for upgrades now.

I've been calling around to all the axle builders I can find to see if anyone has something that can hold up to 35's and a 4 banger!!

Toyota **** can kiss my ass - I've been running this stuff for 3 years in competitions and I can't even get toyota aftermarket guys to warranty my **** without a bunch of trouble (lifetime warranty stuff - shhh - it still breaks all the time - shhh)

thanks for making me feel better about my decision to go 1 tons laughing1 "hauler" on TK was wondering why I was switching since you can make toyota stuff "so strong" laughing1 **shrugs shoulders** I dunno laughing1

I love that lifetime warranty throw in. Does you no good if the **** breaks all the time.

Ask James Dollar about birf eliminators... laughing1 I could see the smoke come out of his ears everytime they popped something.

Travis has a leaf spring problem with rancho 4404's I dont think his was a birf problem.. if so musta rubbed bobby the wrong way cause I have seen bobby warantee out a 30 spline break from 4WD through the desert woops with tires full of water laughing1 those water tires find the bottom of every whooop---definetly not the right thing for hi speed.. and why in 4WD I don't know laughing1

you name it and it's broken - MULTIPLE TIMES

Arp this, upgraded that, chromo this, cryo'd that

I get the same lame ass story from Bobby everytime I break something and call for a warranty. He wants to hear how it happened and then give me a sob story on how he's a small shop and I'm too hard on stuff, there's guys with 44's and v8's in colorado not breaking them. I really don't give a **** - send me my part. I've just had to go thru it soo many times and then to hear him say only 5 have broke in the history of him selling them - BS I've seen over 15 break IN PERSON and a buddy has broke 30+.

Now Bobby's stuff is fanfuckingtastic and it's the best **** out there, hands down. No way in hell we could do the **** we do without it. But a lifetime warranty is a lifetime warranty man up and send the **** out or get rid of the warranty on your page.

Don't get me started on ARP crap - I've spent hundreds of $$ on simple ****ing bolts and they break just like anything else

Cryo'd and heat treated gears my ass - the shits just too damn small to be worth a damn

I carry enough spares to build a whole front and rear end, sometimes I even got the piece of **** tin can housings with me just in case!

Sorry fo the rant! just need to vent a little I've been trying to keep a tight lip for years but enough is enough

Must have been one more :drinkers: 'n party !!! :spin:..... :dunno:.... :o....pepper.gif........ hitit.... loller.gif

Sounds to me like your buddy should hook you up w/ a deal on a new HONDA atv ....

Might be time to loose the bedsides and build a small flatbed area.... and I know you got enuf parts to thro that frontend back together at least fer now...

Strange, you've got to have the worst luck with yota parts that I've ever heard of. I've ridden with this buggy quite a few times and I'm pretty sure I've got video of him beating on it in Harlan. http://www.nc4x4.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17852 As far as I can remember he's only broken 1 R&P, thats it -and those are 42's. Check his website for the new build

got enuff parts to throw it together but I'm just tired of doing a complete tear down every time I take it out.

I'd love to take the bed off but I won't be stock mod if I do - unless I can prove that toyota's were sold as cab and chassis trucks in 92 with more than 500 produced that year. I know it's the truth but need to "prove" it to the sanctioning body and even then they will probably say no
